Only 364 more days till the 2012 All-Ford Nationals at Carlisle. Got to start planning now if you're going to make it.

This will be my "Lucky 13th" in a row and my first in retirement but I still feel like a kid in a candy store at these things. Always remember," Our cars brought us together, but the friendships formed keep us coming back". :worship:

Are ya ll there now? I sure wish someone had mentioned this yrs bc I wanted to go. A guy at work usually goes but he hasnt said anything bout it this time. :confused:

We go to Carlisle Every Year, there is always a thread on it started at least 1 year in advance....like this one...

Next year will the be the Mach 1 Registry 10th Anv.!! Already!

Once again I am not planning on being there but I promiss I will show up for the 10th WITH MY MACH yes I am keeping her for now


I just got it out of the body shop today and She looks like brand new

1. hood painted new stripe to be installed (she kinda looks like she is doing the brazillian look)
2. rear bumper cover repainted
3. color sand and buff
4. full interior detail


next is to fix a few minor things
ditch the afs wheels they are **** I am going to put factory rims and tires back on it

and I also need to replace 4 more coil packs and get a thermostat sensor replaced.....

These things are no big deal but need to be done right now the car is
looking awsome ! just need to keep going.

Dang. I never go in that forum, I usually go in carshows and cruise ins. Oh well, too late now. Guess I can plan for next yrs.

Next year is the 10th anniversary for the registry we need to plan something bigger and better for the BBQ, because it's the tenth year....
Any suggestion on how to make better and what we can do differently next year? What we should keep the same?

And what we have now is pretty darn good, so what do we do?

I liked the giveaways. I have a Mach1 Chin Spolier, brand new I'll donate for next year.

Plan on me being there. I'll have the Massachusetts version of the Cake Boss so something special for the 10th anniversary. I agree that the door prizes were fun and I should be able to bring something to donate.

What do we do to get started Bill? Like the host hotel and show registration and so forth. Connie and I would like to finally get there. We'd most likely show up the day before. The only problem is we may have to take my '03 GT instead of Connie's '04 Mach1. Bob

Bob, hang in there. Most likely this thread will come alive again around December or January when Carlisle announces that registration is open and then shortly we'll start contacting the host hotel about special rates. While many people may think it's expensive compared to a Motel Six operation the amenities make it well worth it with breakfast, dinner, Wi-Fi, BBQ and other things being included in the price. The Staff is great and it’s like attending an annual family reunion, which it really is.

........... and Please, if you do make it to Carlisle no cracks about you thought I'd be much older again. :23:

Bill! You forgot about the cookies, the cookies, Bill. Who could leave that out!?!

The Team Shelby guys are already talking about next year, as it's the 50th anniv. of Shelby American. We'll be celebrating the 10th anniv. of the Registry, and I'll be working on somethings along with Dave and that old guy with the silver GT500...oh, wait...that's you.

Of course, Russ is going...right, Russ?!?

Our middle daughter lives in Falls church, VA. so we will be there for sure in 2012. This year we had a lot of expenses not counting the new motorbike. Just yesterday another molar bit the dust and gold crowns are now $1,600.
When we were both working our dental insurance would cover it. Now being retired we have supplemental insurance and it only covers one third of the cost.:eek: Life goes on. :)
