Price for 03 stock Mach1 with under 4k?

I found a Red 2003 Mach1 5spd IUP with under 4K miles on it.

It's priced at 21K but I'm thinking of offering 18.
That sounds fair right?

I'd love to get a Bullitt or GT350 but I REALLY miss my Mach1.

Make sure you get a car fax done... a lot of low mile cars are damaged or flooded.
The Bullitt is going to a high priced, wiz bang GT with a GT 350 intake and tune making 475 hp. The GT 350 is now out of production and prices are going from the low 50 to the mid 60 and beyond for a used one

They'd probably take 20. And that would be fair imo.

Like I said, its just my opinion. And based on their asking price, it's theirs also.

To bring a Mach 1, with basically no miles, this far into the future to be enjoyed, it's worth 20 to me if I was looking for that sort of car. They're still taking a decent financial loss over the orginal price of the car at 20, especially after considering 15yrs of maintenance that was hopefully done.

Heck, try 18 and see what they say. It's a reasonable offer but my guess is they're looking for 20.

Well its at a Ford dealer, so I don't have to deal with the owners emotions. If I did I'd see 21 being more justified.

Dealer may be ok but still ask to see service records . If the car sat around that long with low miles have all the fluids changed.

Yeah not sure how good Carfax is with records but it shows only 2 inspections in 15yrs.

See if you can get the dealership to pull an Oasis (Ford) report . Might be of some help. Even just to find out wherre the car is originally from might be of help.
There are some low mileage Machs out there that have gone under (La, Houston, Fla.).

If everything checks out, 21 is more than fair. It is virtually a new car, look at the price of a new GT....50,000:orange:

I paid 17,500 for mine 6 or 7 years ago with 8500 miles on it. Prices have been declining on these cars unfortunately. I'd say 18k is more than fair.

Disclaimer : My opinion

16K would be a great price and anything over 18K is unfair for the buyer. I feel miles really dont matter between 0-50K a clean car in that mileage range is a clean car.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my Mach 1. But if I would have had $18,000 to play with instead, I would have bought a 5.0 Coyote car in a heartbeat. In fact, there was a 2013 5.0 Convertible with 60ish thousand miles on it for $17,000 at a local dealer that I was drooling over. Just sayin'...

I don't think we're to the point where these Mach 1s are collectible YET. Still too many of them out there to pay that kind of money for one. Heck, in my opinion the Terminator is the same way. I see guys asking low $20Ks for those and I'm like what? :??:

KBB is saying $13,000-$15,500 from a dealer. If you can find out how much they paid for it.

There's a Yellow one not far from the one you saw for $17,495 with 13,700 miles. I see a Red one for $21,988 with 3280 mi, is that the one you saw?

That's it. The yellow one has been sitting @ that dealer a LONG time.

They might take $15K out the door.
