Well I did it.

13 years ago due to (now ex-wife) issues I had to sell my much beloved Coupe.
Saturday I am picking up my new 2019 GT PP1 car.

It’s been a long road for me the past 7 years or so. The opportunity has finally presented itself so I jumped at it.

I will post pics of the Mach’s new stablemate as soon as I get a few taken.

Went with a black/black 6-speed 300A package with the PP1.

And don’t worry. The Mach is not going anywhere...

Glad to hear you're keeping the Mach 1, but I can't wait to hear your reviews of the new pony,:yeh:

Getting rid of the Mach was never a consideration...
I took a work at home position and lost my fleet car so it gave me a good excuse to get another vehicle...

I will definitely give my impressions

Nice choice getting the manual. That rev matching downshift looks sweet. My mom is about to pick up a 19 here soon. She wants another manual but is getting pressured from her spouse to get the auto. Probably can't go wrong either way, really. Post pics when you get it!

Definitely will.
Picking up tomorrow morning.

Of course the Mach started acting up yesterday. Pretty sure it’s the IAC which I have never cleaned, or maybe it’s jealousy LOL

If the car was going to be on the drag strip I would have done the 10speed, but this is going to be a daily (share time with the Mach).

Funny how many of my friends have already started a parts list for me and the car is not even home 😉

The Rev match is really cool. You can turn it off if you want to as well. I like to go thru the gears when slowing down, even if in neutral, and it will blip the throttle in neutral as well...

I figured it would be. I don't think I'd ever turn it off. Too much of a kid that way. :wings:
Great looking stang. I'm jealous!

Been the plan all along. Kids have threatened me with great bodily harm if I were to let it go...

Agree! Even the S197's were huge next to them.

She looks great JB! Does the performance pack include the magna ride dampers? I've been wanting to test drive a new one with them. I was too chicken to ask our dealership to drive a GT350 when they first came out LOL.

It is an option you can add to the PP1. It comes standard on the PP2 car...

The thing I like about this package, is that its a lot like our Mach's.
Upgraded gearing, Best Brakes available for the day (on a GT Not including gt350) upgraded suspension etc...As similar as 2 cars can be 16 years apart...IMHO...

Just needs a **** spare tire...Apparently FOMOCO has nixed spares (in the name of weight savings) from what I understand due to legal issues. (people hurting themselves while changing a spare and then suing Ford. Darwin would be proud.)

It's actually a brake clearance issue. Ford seems to be too lazy/cheap/dumb to design a spare wheel that will clear the brakes and still fit in the spare well. There is a company that sells a spare wheel and tire package, either with the hardware or without. Have the same issue with the Boss 302, and yes I did have a flat and no, the stupid inflator they give didn't help AT ALL. I'll be investing the additional $500 for that peace of mind that Ford refused to give. Idiots.
And yes, the SN197 drives way bigger than the SN95. It was like going from my '69 Mustangs to my '73 convertible. The S550 drives big to me as well.

I have seen that one for 500$ and it looks interesting. Spoke to my friend who owns Wheel replicas and we are looking at this. Has to be doable for less than what that company is charging...for now I am just going to get a full size blem-wheel and tire and put it in the trunk.

I won't speak for why they decided not to put a spare in the newer cars, but I will admit to having no intentions of ever changing a flat on the side of today's roads. My friend saw a young man struck and killed while doing this several years back. Pulled over to call for help and held him in his arms as he passed. Such a shame. There's just too much drinking and driving and texting going on now for it to be risked in my opinion. If and when I find myself in a flat tire situation I will be getting myself off the road and away from the car asap and getting it towed to discount or wherever.

Horrible thing to have witnessed. Can’t say I blame you. One of the recent laws in Texas is that you have to slow down 10mph and or move over a lane when passing an emergency vehicle (LEO’s) mostly conducting a traffic stop or helping a stranded driver. The distracted driving thing has gotten really bad everywhere...
