The Han Solo Story
 

After the steaming pile of vile excrement that Disney tried to pass off as Episode 8, I had pretty much sworn off Star Wars.

But, because it is Star Wars, I would watch a movie about a Gonk droid story.
So I can't not watch the Han Solo story.

Admittedly, I enjoyed it because I thought it stayed true to the Star Wars saga even though there were a few cheesy moments.
It helped that I liked Alden Ehrenreich as an actor in a couple of other movies and don't perceive him as an elitist douche-bag.

My offspring isn't a fanatic and had the probably more objective opinion that it is just another action movie with a Star Wars skin.

What do y'all say?

I haven't seen any of the spinoff movies. It's become Star Wars overkill. I tried to watch The Force Awakens, but kept falling asleep on the couch watching it. The best ones were the first 3 movies back when I was an teenager.

Its just tough with our memories of the past movies , were the lucky one's haveing seen the originals. New comers don't have that and to them its just another space movie. Sad thing for us is all thats left is the WOOkie and the princess !

I enjoyed it. I try not to get too worked up over Star Wars or Star Trek movies when they come out. They will never equal the originals. With Han Solo, I really liked the way they setup Chewie an Han's connection. Pretty cool when they do something you don't expect lol.
