Good day.
I purchased an '03 Mach 1 yesterday; 5400 miles; Dark Charcoal; box stock. I will be bringing it home to Vegas from Arizona this coming weekend. This will be a daily driver ( I only do about 6k annually on my DD ) and mods will begin right away. CAI; exhaust; shifter; aluminum radiator before summer...after awhile maybe a 390 gear. Any comments would be welcome as well as a recommedation for a tuner in L.V.
I think the 4.6 all aluminum motor is a world class engine; I think the Mach 1 is very unique and I am tried of cars that talk to me; endless electronic crap that drives the complexity and costs of vehicles ever higher. I was looking at '10 Camaros and 03-04 Cobras, but the naturally aspired, great looking Mach 1 got my money.
The car is flawless, the original owner, took exceptional care of the car.

The fun begins next weekend. At 55, I am really stoked about this Christmas. My wife has already checked out sites for performance parts. Can a CAI fit into a stocking?

Congratulations on the Mach! Don't worry about keeping the miles low, drive it and enjoy it. I just turned over 70,000 miles today on my '04 that I bought new in May of '04 with 27 miles on the odometer.

Wow, lots of low milage cars here.

I got currently just over 36K. Bought it almost 3yrs ago @ 19K. I daily drove it for about a year with trips to Santa Cruz and Santa Barbra, CA and Las Vegas, NV. Now it sits in the garage since I have a DD and drive 50+ miles a day to work, six days a week. I atleast drive it once a week to a local mustang club meet or when I feel like driving it. I love it. The cars looks great and feels great. I get compliments for all the time for having a decently, clean looking car.

Niiiice. Just rolled over 47000 Kilometres on the way to work today, that's 29,375 miles and I'll have had the Mach for five years on the 30th of this month. Consider that nearly a third of those miles came on the two Mach 1 roundups and it really seems like low mileage to me. Until of course I saw some of the numbers posted here. How you guys can stay out of the car like that escapes me, but each to their own.

Re: low mile machs

mine has approx 10k on it sitting in garage for winter. Trips to drag strip only.

Some of you guys are ridiculous. :23:

You should try actually driving your cars! I got mine 1.5 years ago and have put about 7k miles on her. She is sitting in the garage at about 16k miles right now (**** winter!)

LOL.....1st month I added 1000 miles. Then Storage......who knows what 2009 will bring but I imagine it will be a few miles added. I added 26,000 miles to my 70 in 10yrs. Geeeee thats alot of money in fuel.......I think most of them were from the 1st year of ownership.

Re: low mile machs

Mine's an 04, bought in nov 03, now has 13,000, but kept in heated & cooled garage. Most of the milage is the 1 hour trip each way to the track.:eyes: It's never been driven in the rain though.

Born 03/04. 36 month warranty expired 09/07. On 05/07 I rescued the DSG Mach from a 20 X 20 prison with 11500 miles. The Mach now has 49846 miles.
Wait this is a low mile thread. oh well just a Senior moment
