Lest we forget

Take a moment

Shed a tear

Thank a soldier

Say a prayer

Fly a flag

Wear a flag

Do not let this day pass without remembrance

Do something

Never forget up here in Canada either, remember being in traffic and listening to the radio and one of the DJ's said HOLY COW!!! Someone just flew a plane into the side of the world trade center! I got to work and there we all stood dumbfounded watching with horror as it unfolded in front of our eyes in a tiny little visitor lounge with a tiny TV and about 30 people jammed shoulder to shoulder in that tiny room.
As your closest neighbors and friends we felt every blow that day.

You know what day it is, we all do. Don't let it pass unnoticed or unremembered. Many will, we will not...ever.

I was on vacation that week and ended up doing nothing but watching the news for at least 12 hours a day every day. That was a day beyond belief. Hard to believe their are 18 year olds now that were too young to remember it.

We were on vacation too. We were in Hershey, PA visiting my wife's Mom and Dad. We were watching TV getting ready to go eat, then go to Hershey Park when it happened. We ended up staying home and watching everything on TV. We saw it all from when they were first thinking it was a little prop plane that had accidently hit the first tower. It was so hard to believe all that was happening. We also got to experience all those d-bag gas station owners who jacked up their gas prices the very next day. :anger:

I was really thinking of all those stories out there that were never told. I imagine there are a ton of heroes out there that we will never know.

I will never forget. Remember exactly where I was. Remember how odd it was to see nothing flying. Remember I was near Ellington AFB the next year on the first year anniversary only to hear the entire squadron of f-16's stationed there, take off suddenly..it was eerie..

I was a kid growing up in New York when the towers were being built...

My aunt's sister lost her Husband (firefighter) that day...

will never forget...

Seeing the first airliner here to take to the skies after the attacks seemed...eerie.

This day finds us again in a free and prosperous country thanks to the sacrifice of those who make it their work to keep us safe. Thanks to you all, and a prayer and a tear for those who were taken from us so brazenly 17 years ago.

It was definitely the "Pearl Harbor" of our times. It one of those things that you can remember exactly what you were doing the moment it happened.

I'll never forgot where I was when this happen. I was in Alaska, at my 1st base, getting ready for work. My supervisor called me and told me to get in now. I got to work and saw what was going on in the news and we saw the 2nd plane hit the building. We had our jets on alert. We had people deploy with our A-10's to A-stan and I deployed a year later with our F-16's on alert, we practice scrambles twice a day.....I and everyone else hoped it didn't come to that.

Definitely a day of remembrance. Glad to see our work still honors this day with a ceremony. I know as long as I work here I'll be pushing for it to continue. 17 years later...
Thank you to all branches of the military, and all first responders. They truly did run past those who were fleeing to save others. True heros

We find ourselves here another year on. Those memories of that day still feel as fresh as 18 years ago. To those that serve, including the first responders and those responders who have since paid the price for doing the job they were trained for, my eternal thanks.

The World changed that day and it was a loss of innocence for the people of the United States. It may have been 18 years ago, but for me, it was like yesterday. I'll never forget. It was the attack on Pearl Harbor moment of my lifetime.

I know there's not a lot of traffic compared to years past, but I hope those that are here do not forget this tragic day. We remember those who perished as well as those who continue to protect us from the evils that permeate the fabric of our world and all places and ways. We need the good people to protect us from the bad people.

I could never forget that day and what followed. I served 2 tours in Iraq and lost friends and an eye. I would do it all over again if I could. There is still a war going on and bless are those who fight against the evil.

Never forget.

It hasn't been too bad here , I work from a home office so that's been easy. We are at level 2 lock down here in Auckland, rest of NZ is looking to go down to level 1 next week. Can still get the Mustang out which we did yesterday for a run, that helped with the sanity for sure.:gears: Waiting to hear if the National Mustang Convention is still on in the South Island next month, that will be a great trip. Tell me is the rioting and antifa stuff going on in the news as bad as its being reported over there? I sure hope not.
