Re: Official Whipple/KB/Eaton HP/TQ/mods thread:
Are these inter-cooled or is that not necessary with these blowers?

RWHP/RWTQ: 475rwhp / ~ 440 rwtq Installed: August 2008 Approximate miles since installed: ~10,000 Issues since install: Originally the kit seperated my stock crank pulley/harmonic balancer after only a hundred miles or so (with the stock pulley it was making 428 rwhp / ~400 rwtq @ 7.7ibs) . Replaced the harmonic balancer with a much more sturdy looking Summit version based on pro-charged friends recommendation. No issues since - just had to buy a longer belt. I have been shredding belts. I'm on my 2nd tensioner (original stock tensioner pulley started to wobble around 18k miles) and my 4th belt since October. The outter edge starts to fray. Going to try a new tensioner/idler pulley and a heavy duty belt next. Driving habits: Weekend driver, Monthly AutoX, aggressive street driving. |

Re: Official Whipple/KB/Eaton HP/TQ/mods thread:
Yeah I don't mean to degrade the KB kit at all, but man it seems like it's a whole lot of moolah for a blower. Torque is expensive I guess, compared to cheap HP of a Vortech or Procharger. :23:

Re: Official Whipple/KB/Eaton HP/TQ/mods thread:
This is a great thread. Im looking at possibly getting an eaton kit from lookngo in the next week or so. I'm wondering if you guys can state the mileage on your stock lowers...? Mine has 78k but is driven sparingly on weekends. I doubt I'll put more then 3-4k miles on it per year.
