Guess you didn't make it.....sorry to hear that. It did look like a good crowd for a Monday though. DMN listed attendance as 92,500. Dale Jr is good, just everybody else is better. They just left him standing still at the finish. Glad to see the 24 in the wall. Good win for Hamlin!

Re: NASCAR thread

The best part of the race was Gordon egging Johson on over the radio. I think the comment was somethign ot effect of 'Mr. Four-time not liking' a particular move Gordon put on him. Too bad none of the Ford can seem to put together any kind of race. Really frustrating.

I went to the Texas race back in '02. On Sunday it was like a tropical storm going on. While my one friend drove, me and my other friend proceeded to get trashed while we did a 3 hour circle around the outside of the track waiting for them to cancel the race. It was great. Came back the next day and saw the race.

Re: NASCAR thread

ASSCAR is so boring now, it is really getting pathetic.
There was a time when I could not wait to watch or go to the race,
now I couldn't care less.
Now Waltrip kisses Toiletta's rear end every chance he gets.
Absoluely sickening.
Brian the pansy France really ruined it.

Re: NASCAR thread

The race yesterday was pretty quiet until the wreck at the end. If it's a Saturday night race, I can pretty much watch the whole race and be interested, but most of the Sunday races I just catch bits and pieces. Yeah, you've got alot of room to stretch out in the grandstands now at the tracks. I remember going to afew races back 10 years ago and you practically shoe-horned yourself into your seat.

That was actually a good race. And it's nice to hear that Gordon has jumped off of the JJ bandwagon and is now alongside the rest of us in hatin' on JJ & Co.

Re: NASCAR thread

That was a good race. I always enjoy the restrictor plate races. From the wrecking standpoint, it's almost inevidable. I also look at the talent it takes to keep those cars 1ft. apart at 200mph. Blows my mind. The second big wreck before the end of the race happened right in front of where I would have been camped in the infield. We camp right at the fenceline of turn 3@4. Glad to see Johnson and Gordon can't get out of each others way.

Toiletta didn't win, Gordon and JJ crashed.
Great day.

I agree. Just sitting at home it looks like they could just go 3 or 4 wide whenever, but at 180+ coming out of turn 3 the chute gets to be pretty narrow. Even more appreciation after doing Laps For Charity in your own car and only doing 110+................

that bum j/k. nascar was getting boring to me also, then this yr i joined a nascar pool. u are only allowed to pick one driver once a year ie u cant pick jimmy j each week. yesterday i picked brad k now im 4th in points outta 36 people. its kinda cool cause u root for a different driver each week. actually brad was doing great then a wreck happened in front of him and had no were to go.

A Kyle Bush fan. Interesting. Not because he's with Toyota or anything, I just don't know any Kyle Bush fans. I think the guy is a hell of a driver, and makes alot of ballsy moves, but sometimes it really bites him in the butt.

OK.
Did he earn his way up like,
oh, let's say, Bill Elliott, Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison.
No, he didn't.
Did he earn his way in by building his own engines and cars?
No, he did not.
Kinda like admiring the guy who bought a building,
instead of who designed and built it.

lets see...did ANY of todays drivers? No.

theres only one chance to be a part of the founding group of something, and he wasnt a part of it. wasnt his darn fault.

he was 23 and excited! everyone on this site woulda crapped on themselves if they were in his shoes at the end of that race. everyone.

we've all done things in the heat of the moment we regret. <----not saying kyle regrets what he did. but if he did, hes got a darn good excuse.
