'21-'23 Mach 1 Owners
 

I've got the incredible opportunity to buy a 2024 Mach 1. I was just wondering the good and bad points of this car. Anyone want to talk me out of buying one? Having a bookend pair of Mach 1's would be unreal.

There are no '24 Mach 1s, that's the newer body style. The '21-'23 Mach 1s are pretty nice, even with no shaker. I'm think about one a year or two from now. The best parts on those cars are the things you can't see.

I know their's no '24's yet for the Mach 1. I read that they're going to come out with them this summer with and updated bodystyle and interior changes. I will be completely bummed if they don't. I have'nt seen any pictures yet, but their's quite afew articles out there saying the're going to build one. I guess it will be a wait and see thing. :what:

A friend of mine sent me afew ads for a '23 Mach 1 that have been sitting on the car lot for the past year with only 5-50 miles on them. That's a good option, but I was hoping to order one myself with what I want or don't want. Grabber Blue or Atlas Blue with an Automatic is what I'm looking for, and one of the ads is for Grabber Blue, but the price seems alittle high. Not that I can't afford it, but I don't want to get ripped off.

I 'might' see a few people in Birmingham that might be able to confirm/deny what you're hearing. I'd think we'll see a new body Shelby before a new Mach 1 or Boss. Ford seems on concentrating on the Dark Horse and the GT3/GT4 cars, so a 21-23 car is more likely in your/my future as far a Mach 1 goes.

I agree on the Dark Horse. I never even knew what that was until afew days ago. Their is a site you can build your own Dark Horse. I saw the picture of it and it reminded me of a Camaro. If that's the new bodystyle then I don't want a '24, I'll take a leftover '23. I'm gonna go to the dealership on Saturday and clear all this up hopefully and put in a search for a '23 if that's the way it goes. It's gonna be Atlas or Grabber Blue.

All 24s are the new S650 body style. If you don't like the new body style, wait until you see the new interior...sooooo much worse. That' why I'm mentally prepping myself to look into a used 23 Mach 1 in a year or two.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Back in 2002 I went into the Ford dealership and asked about the new Mach 1 and they had no clue what I was talking about. I go into a dealership 22 years later and once again get the same confused look and furled eyebrows. Come on people, get to know everything about your product line. He had to go ask afew people and according to him, their is'nt going to be a 2024. No problem. I put in a search for a 2023 in Atlas or Grabber Blue with an Automatic and as many options as possible. He said he'd start looking on Monday.

Hope you get what you want. That's the main thing. There was an Atlas Blue one in my area, and it really looked sharp.

I really like the Atlas Blue over the Grabber. That dark blue looks like the color of my Dodge. No phone call so far. Please, please, please................

I talked to the dealer today and he said he could'nt find anything in the local area. Excuse me, local area? I don't give a crap if he finds one in Hawaii, just ship it here and I'll buy it. Colors are getting few and far between so I'll take any color, but red or green. He's got 30 minutes to get back with an answer. After that, I'm taking my business and cash elsewhere.

Nope, I'm going brand spankin' new. I told that guy at Lynch Ford to F-off. He was playing dumbazz games with me claiming he could'nt find one. I went with a dealership about 80 miles south of me and he found two of them in about 2 minutes. That idiot at Lynch Ford had a guaranteed sale and he screwed himself out of it. Sigourney Ford found a Grabber and a Fighter Jet Gray one. He could'nt get an answer on the Grabber so I bought the Fighter Jet Gray one with about 10 miles on it. It's a beautiful car. I pick it up on Thursday!!!

Qutstanding. The FJG cars were the only ones that came with the red stripe seats standard to call back to the original Mach 1s in 69/70, like our seats have the silver stripe in them. Can't wait to hear your thoughts and see some pictures.

Yep. It's also got a thin orange stripe on the side and around the top of the hood. I'm diggin' this color. I'm gonna wear a diaper tomorrow because I'm gonna crap my pants when I see and drive it home. I can't believe about 3 weeks ago a new car never entered my mind.

Like Azure Blue, it's a color unique to the Mach 1 as well.
If you're into collecting the smaller versions, Hot Wheels has a 1/43 FJG that are exclusive to Target stores. Also Greenlight did a 1:64 that was not available in stores but you can find them on ebay an other online venues.

The 90 mile drive home was great. At idle it sounds pretty mean. Believe it or not, it's got 4 different exhaust notes. Normal, custom, track, and something else. Bought it with 20 miles on it, now it's got alittle over 100. Really dossil at low speeds, but the second you put your foot down your sitting back in your seat and the whole neighborhood can hear you. Nice job Ford.

First, congrats! You bought one of the last mustangs that wont have a locked ecu fron the factory. Best advice I can recommend before you do anything fun with the car (like drive it) is to read through some threads about the modem in the trunk and decide for yourself what you'd like to do about it being there. There are two options. These cars (I've got a '22 5.0, not in my sig here) are not like what we're used to. Not to sound condescending, but you have some catching up to do. Shouldn't be a big deal for a retired baller like yourself though.

Ummmm, I have no idea what your talking about. Does that mean big brother is watching me or what? I'm not computer or electronics savvy at all. I need to dig out my camera, find the cord to upload pictures, and remember how to post a picture. I have'nt posted a picture in at least 15 years. More excuses to come.....

Went to get something to eat and saw an Azure Blue Mach going to a car wash. That's the first Mach I've seen since I moved back here 7 years ago. Then on the way home a Cadillac CTSV ripped by me, but quickly turned into Burger King. I let him know I was'nt scared. :gears:

Got my title in the mail today. It's mine, alllllllllllll mine!! This car drives like a baby carriage. This car is killer to drive even at 30mph. These big azz size 19 tires make you feel like your glued to the road. My '04 Mach has been a great car for the last 20 years, but this new Mach is just over the top. :orange:

Got a gift from Ford for my Mach 1 purchase. It's a picture of your specific color Mach 1, a certificate with your car's VIN and chasis number (also chasis # plaque above glove compartment), a tow hook (I don't get it), and 3 transmission gears (actual gears) that are suppose to remind you how much power your putting to the pavement, and a brochure hyping the Mach 1 as top dog. I guess the Shelby's are in a class by themselves.
