Dexron III ATF
 

Does anyone know were i can get this transmission oil for my t56? like a legit link or an ebay link would be nice because the ones i found on ebay are for motorcycles

I picked up some at my local autozone. The brand is valvoline. It's the only dexron iii I could find.

Walmart or your auto store has it. They are backwards compatible. Dex 5 meets the requirements for Dex 3.

Dex 5 is synthetic and dex iii is not. Tremec suggests dex iii or mobile 1 ATF. They said dex iii is the best but mobile 1 would suffice.

I'm not sure for the t-56. I know the t3650 takes 3.2 quarts or 3 liters.

I'm getting ready to fill my newly installed t56 (1hour ago I installed it). It's just at 4 quarts and maybe 2 oz. that's the most conclusive answer I've found. I bought mobile 1 ATF (4) quarts, I'm also planning on putting in 2 oz of gm syncromesh.

Just wondering it says mostly on the Mobil 1 it's for auto transmission does that matter?

I would not put anything but Mercon Dexron III in the T56 and all TR3650's as well.

^^^ I read it but a lot of people r saying good results off the Mobil 1, my liquid i saw was kind of black in my t56 so I see its 3.2 quarts in a t56? Or is that for the tr3650?

I just put 4 quarts and 2 oz of gm syncromesh in my t56. Simply drain the t56, re install and tighten the drain plug. Next undo the fill plug on the side and pour the ATF fluid in the top of the trans where the shifter would be. Do 3 full quarts, then add 2 oz of syncromesh, them continue with ATF until you start to see fluid coming out of the fill plug. Male sure your vehicle is level

Awesome also sorry to bother I want to autozone and Pepe boys hey did not have a y snycromseh. Any online website may e eBay that has it to buy?

Its no problem at all bud! I went to a Chevy service center and picked a quart up. Its stupidly expensive at $17. See if you've got any friends who want to split it with you for their fluid changes. I used about 2-3 oz of it

Just my 2 cents here but whenever dealing with automotive fluids always remove the fill plug first!!!!! Then you aren't screwed if the plug strips or breaks

So yeah as u can see in the picture, I put 3 1/2 ounce of snycromseh and put 3 3/4 quarts of Mobil till it spilled out
