Would have been even better if Johnson hadn't taken out the woods bros. car Sunday and crashed half the field in the process. Jerk.

NASCAR blames empty seats on hotels...

Apparently it is much easier to find blame on the outside than from looking within.

They're just discovering NOW that it's expensive to see a Nascar race? It's only been that way for the past 25 years.

I've seen the Bristol night race a couple times in the last 5 years. One year we camped, which was a ton of fun and not expensive, provided you have a camper already. The other year we rented a house in town for two nights, nearby to the track, that slept four people comfortably, for roughly what a single hotel room would have cost....and that's for the night race which is usually far more desirable to see. Blaming people not coming to a race on hotels being too expensive is like airlines blaming people for not flying on the beers in the terminal being too expensive. It's classic deflection.

This could be the greatest NASCAR season even. Denny Hamlin went out today when his daughter switched off the viewscreens to his I-Racing rig with the remote. Another driver, earlier in the virtual race season crashed out when his dog jumped in his lap, and we've had various drivers penalized and even lose sponsors due to their actions in the virtual racing year that is our new world.

None of it is official, as all drivers aren't participating, but one of the drivers lost a real sponsor after using an inappropriate words on air. It's less than enthralling, but somewhat entertaining.
