Holy crap. I have'nt heard of anyone paying that much in 10 years. Seen way too many with a couple thousand miles sell for $8K-$10K less.

I just found this one on Kajiji. The price is crazy high but the cool thing is it has 5.6km and all the original plastic on the interior and all the warning tags I bet it has never been driven.

Sweet! How does your cover do with your paint on the roof and front fenders? Mine has a few scratches that seem to be from putting it on and off from the previous owner. I haven't used it because of that. Maybe mines real cheap.

There are some fine scratches. As of last year I started to put the sheets first, then the white cover them the blue Wal-Mart one. But I just had the white one (not sure of the brand, it was given to me) for a while and I started to see some scratches on the fender and wing. But I wipe it so much that I am probably doing more harm than the cover. It's gets washed and dried every time I drive it.

Thanks for the info. Mine do look like they could be removed with a general detailer kind of buffing.

03 DSG, mere 8200 miles all dry, still original spec....garaged and all tucked up for winter........

Ps purchased a $135 cover but too concerned using it for fear of introducing the fine scratches, now just blow dust off every now and again, then wash by hand and if need be polish, car shines very well........tried to upload piccy but alas.......

People are always saying "drive them!" that's what they are meant for.. I may have put 2500 miles on mine last year. The car was purchased not for "preserving" I enjoy occasional drives in the car. I have a vehicle supplied threw my job that I drive everyday. I have a small s10 (aka the Turd) that will get used almost everyday for odds and ends around town if needed, and the wife has her xterra. The Mach was not bought for an everyday driver. When I get in it, it is almost something special every time. I still pay a small note on it, so its something that I work for, something I can see my money going to, some would say "hobby". And when my son turn 17 he will have a very cool ride to school if he is mature enough to handle it, if not it will be a very nice college present! So to keep saying to the guys "drive them like they were meant to be" is fine but maybe some of us are changing the rules! My car is not garaged, it has two car covers on it, we enjoy going to local car shows when I'm not working, and ever year "cruisin the coast". Its always a special time when the whole family gets in the Mach and goes for a drive. Makes it more worth it owning one ,for me anyways, vs driving it everyday in the elements, doing everyday chores, school, work etc.. They made these cars for just two years.. So do they or do they not deserve to be treated above and beyond the regular car???

You said it very well. These cars ARE something special, Ford doesn't hand out R code vin #'s. But at the end of the day its not a garage queen 6 figure collector car, get in it and drive it when you can, bring family if you can, respect the car but know that you CAN drive it. Like I said before; I bought my car with 80,5XX miles on it when I bought it in SEP 2013 while I was deployed so it was no garage queen to start with BUT knowing there were Mach 1's out there with 6-8k miles on them that have been sealed up in a garage for years without being driven at all or hardly being driven, that gave me piece of mind. So What if my 80k Mach becomes a 120k Mach? It's still a Mach 1 and still a force to be reckoned with! I got home in early DEC and it already has almost 83k on it and I am not upset about it at all! I am not hesitant to jump in my car for anything and I love driving it any time I get the chance to. I actually find excuses to run to the store or anywhere else so I can drive it. BUT in the last two weeks I didn't even use a 1/4 tank in it because I didn't feel like moving my daughter's car seat out of our 2013 Explorer that uses less gas and has less mileage than the Mach, which of course; mileage means nothing on the Explorer just to drive to the store or take her to chuck e cheese so.... there is balance I guess......

Yeah. The car never gets old and the compliments never get old. It doesn't hurt that Machs are very uncommon/rare in most areas. I'm impressed when somebody gives me a compliment and they know it is a Mach 1.
