Sunshine Tops and Accessories is in Killeen TX off of 38th Street by Killeen High School. And they do tune and adjust air/fuel, but I'm not sure how good their tunes are, never heard anybody use them. Althought, the owners son, he also runs the dyno and tunes I think, his Camaro is built and is running 11s, so I guess they ain't that bad!! |

Nice, what mods do ya have?
And what color is your car, wondering if I've seen it around town. |
Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
Thanks for having the stock run on there! Does anyone know what the stock Crank power is? I heard that the 305hp rating was little weak and not correct. Also I am a new Mach 1 owner just got it on thursday 4-06-06.. Torch Red with all the good stuff!

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
Finally dyno'd my car with the headers and got a tune 303.3 hp and 322.2 lb/ft. Thats just a complete SLP catted exhaust and long tubes. Paper filter and a custom tune.

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1

MODS=AFM Powerpipe, Pro M 80mm MAF, custom return style fuel system, coil pack conversion with Ford racing 9mm plug wires, FMS shorties ceramic headers, BBK off-road x pipe, 2 chamber flowmasters, Roush side exit pipes, 3:73 gears. |
Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
Just got past the 300 mark. I dynoed 263whp and 281wtq dead stock. I added the slp longtube headers, slp catted x and slp loudmouth 2s and put down 306whp and 318wtq with nothing else on a stock tune. I'm hoping with the addition of a jlt rai, php spacer and tune i could get up to maybe 325-330whp. My a/f ratio was still on the rich side even with the full exhaust.

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
Has anyone put a super chip in, and does that help?
Or can the stock chip be tuned in by the Dyno technicians? |
Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
I dyno'd 278/300 with slp catted xpipe and a k&n filter. I would like to be at 300/325ish. I have a mac catback on the way (bought it more for sound then pwoer although its nice to have 2.5" piping all the way back) and i was planning on a php spacer, a good maf/cai combo and a tune.

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
Wanted to let everyone know, I changed the water pump pulley on my mach to a motoblue underdriven pulley. I put a diablo programer on it just to watch the engine temp. At 6000 grand the temp was 193 with the underdriven pulley compared to 188 with the factory water pump pulley. Due to the car running hotter with the underdrive pulley the computer pulled timing. End result 293.7 hp at the wheels with the aftermarket pulley and 299.8 hp with the stock pulley. These cars are really finicky. paul

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
Joining the 300hp club. After all these parts installed and Sct Xcalibrator2 flashed I have 306.09 hp and 322.07 the a/f ratio 13.43 to 13.24 on a Winpep DynoJet. My parts Kooks 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 headers, Kooks catted x-pipe, Php intake spacer, JLT RAI intake and flash tuned. Did I do ok or am I missing something?

That does not surprise me. I hear at 190 deg. the computer starts to pull timing. Set your fans to come on earlier and pour in a bottle of Red Line Water Wetter should help out. |

HA!! No, because they are full of s*** By the way guys stay CLEAR away from Steeda underdrive pulleys. The damper pulley will throw your engine off balance and melt your oil pump gears - aka - buh bye engine.... This didn't happen to me, someone else blew up this landmine in front of me before I stepped on it. I'm not happy with Steeda and their BS parts... |
Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
steeda's claim is hard to believe
but I would not be surprsied to see a mach 1 make those numbers, but extremely rare. its all in the tune |
Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
I started a tread about dyno machines to get some answers on the topic of high dyno readings. My tec works at ford svt and does my tuning and dyno setup. He told me that there are dynos that operate differently and the preloaded drum of the dynotec dynos give you a truer reading. The unloaded brands give higher readings of rwhp and torque due to the nonexistance of pushing a load. :what:

Re: What to do to get 300 rwhp on a Mach 1
xpipe and flowmasters with chip i have 315 rwhp sae with 340 trq i thought that was pretty hard to believe with just these mods alone.
