C&L intake tube

I am not a fan of the finish on the C&L intake tube and really want to spray it a different color, but I do not want to do OW, because it just seems like it will get very dirty under there. So my thoughts were red.
Here are the different colors
Red
Black
Ford Racing blue

Let me know what your thoughts are

Black, is my vote. Not a fan of overstated pieces in the engine bay. I'd powercoat it to make it easy to keep clean.

I understand what you are saying and agree.
I figure with one item like the intake, is just one small part that would pop, but rest would be black.

sorry for the dirty engine bay, but here is the picture of it.
should have added cleaning of the engine bay to the list, but it is all good.

Looks good, better than the plain aluminum. I would have done the same if I had a C&L intake.

I remember on my 04 SY mach, I swapped the valve covers with some 03 ones, because they look so ugly from the factory. They should have come from the factory black.

I kept mine the stock color and after 15 years it has'nt gotten dirty at all, but my valve covers are blue and most of the engine bay is chrome/aluminum.

I'm just not a big fan of that finish. I ended up changing out the stock ones on my 04 to the stock black 2003 ones.
