Ellen and I will be traveling with the Mustangs Across America again. LA to Charlotte Starting at Saleens shop. This coming 4th of July weekend we will be at the MCA Nats in Asheville, NC. We will stop in Charlotte to check out the best place to stay next year on our way to Falls Church, VA. to visit our daughter. :COOL:

Here is where we are staying, it's about 3 miles from the track, some local restaurants in the area.

Make your reservations now, you can always cancel later.!! Rooms around the area are going fast, it took us a while to find some available. Otherwise, you may be 10-20 miles away. We didn't get a block of rooms, but just make your reservations as soon as you can.

I'd like to but where I live it would cost me serious $$s to drive west to meet up to return east to the 50th show.

We are in the room right next to ya and we like to play loud music all night. :eek:
PS. In the last three days 70 of their 118 rooms have been booked for the event.

Since I went to the 35th at Charlotte N.C. Im going to the 50th ! Im only 2 hrs away coming from Durham, N.C.
I tried that Hilton place... they said no pets ...so the wife stays home !:23:
Actually, I want to take my Jack Russell ,so I booked a place 9 miles away , $89.00 per night. The place is called Home Town Suites in Kannapolis small apt style rooms. I used to stay there when I roadraced my RX7 .

We'll be at Embassy Suites, 1.6 miles from the track. Got a smokin' deal on the room; helps that my fiance works for Hilton..... :COOL:

I was at the 35th with my buddy. Since then, he's moved down to Charlotte area, so no need to pay for a place. :).

Got my room booked for the big shindig! I can't believe how fast things are filling up, especially close to the race track! :surprise: And we're still 11 months out!

I think our hotel is sold out already. We couldn't get block of rooms, so most of the hotels are pretty close, we will get all together for dinner and stuff.

Looks like I'm all set to go as well. Staying at a Hampton Inn Charlotte-Univ. Place. Reasonable rates and only about 4 miles from the event. Arriving on Wednesday and leaving on Sunday. Went ahead and registered for the banquet as well (Hope I can be as lucky as Bob when it comes to door prizes!).
Wonder if there will be time to go to the NASCAR Hall Of Fame on Wednesday afternoon? Hate to be that close and miss it. I know this is still 10 months away but we might want to start thinking about dinners and such.
I'll check with Wolfgang to see if he's coming and see if we can get John Clor any night.

Sounds like the makings of a plan. Pick a night, Thursday or Friday. I think we need a plan for both, and possibly Wednesday. I'm hoping to get to the NASCAR HOF that night, I don't know what's in that area, if anything. I'll be at the banquet Saturday. Russ is cooking hotdogs, so I hear. And Bob is winning all of the good door prizes...again!

We have paid for the banquet for the MCA Saturday night and the MAA banquet Sunday night. All other nights are open for a Mach 1 dinner. :what:
