Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

I blew a head gasket at 17 psi. It made 680 hp and 585 tq at 5600 rpm before popping the gasket. This block was overheated on the last build 25k miles ago. I should have decked the block. I'm sure that was the weak point that caused the failure. I have a teskid block for the next build. I've ordered a stroker kit but the crank is 3 weeks out. I may change it back to stock stroke to expidite the turn around time to get the car back on the road and to the track.

Will anyone ever beat that magical number i set years ago ? lol

Just remember guys this is the original block that came with the car . My tuner calls it the block of all blocks ! I guess i got lucky with this one .

I'll have no problem doing that with my twin turbo build.:butt:

I wonder how much Id see with a ported intake and switching to a accufab?
Maybe 15-20hp at peak on the dyno? wouldnt mind getting the car to trap 130ish in 1/4 on 15lbs which is where its at now?

Supercharger owners! never break a tensioner, a belt , swap a pully, make your supercharger silent, and sneak up on the competition and best of all, make more hp & tq while getting better mileage. The greatest invention of all, The TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!

I can finally contribute to this thread...

04 Mach 1 79K miles

Stock bottom end: YES

Head Unit: D1-SC

Pulley/Boost: 4.15 making 10psi(maybe 10.5) at 6,500

Fuel System: 42lb injectors, Cobra tank / pumps

Tuner: Eric Brooks (Email Tune)

Other mods: Magna-Flow Magnapacks, Magnaflow off-road x, aluminum ds, 3/8 spacer, accufab tb

RWHP/RWTQ: 486RWHP & 394 Tq Dynojet Dyno

We stopped at 6500 because power was still climbing. Timing is a 16* and a/f is around 11.2-11.5. First pull smoked the tires in 4th...pretty insane. I'll post up the vid later.

Nice! Gotta question how long those stock rods and pistons are going to hold out though. You're running just over the line of what most people would feel comfortable with.

Agreed...working on getting a decent block to start a build from now. Thanks

I never swap a pulley or break a belt or tensioner . I run a 6 rib just like you for accessories . My boost is done on a labtop .
I dont want to make my Supercharger silent . :claus: Thats what makes the car so unique ! Im really not worried about gas mileage .

Turbos have plenty of issues as well ! Heat , oil build-up , expense , tuning , and lag . Different strokes for different folks .

ok i'm going to ask cuz i see a lot of different hp numbers with the same pulley size and also the same psi. i'm getting a d-1sc on stock bottom end, i'm wanting to run around 10psi or just even 9psi all i'm wanting is 450rwhp. so what pulley size should i go with to make that rwhp on my mach

It can be different for every car and every setup, like you have seen, but the standard 4.0 pulley should get you where you want. This is not really the place to ask that question though, start your own thread and you can get a lot more detailed answers. This thread is where you will post up your #'s after you get them :claus:

i understand this isn't maybe the right thread to ask but i saw other people disussing things so i though it wouldn't hurt just to ask real quick instead of starting a new thread. but i understand what your sayin on your set up and i'll prob go with the 4.0 pulley then

New combo is going into the car this week. I'm supposed to make pinks all out this Friday at PBIR. It's going to be close. The only thing that sucks is I won't even have 1 hit on the car with the new combo. Teksid block, so dropping 100 lbs off the nose of the car. She will also be corn fed. E-85 at 23-26 psi. Just not sure yet what my boost level will be.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Not a Mach (It's a 98 Cobra), but still runs a Procharger.

Stock bottom end: No (5.0L Boss Mod block 10.3:1 compression)

Head Unit: D1SC (F1C with a renegade mount this summer)

Pulley/Boost: 3.6" pulley seeing 16psi on the gauge at 6900rpm.

Fuel System: 72lb injectors, Twin walbro pumps, Aeromotive rails, -8 feed line, -6 return.

Tuner: SCT PRP Tuned by me

Other mods: Stage III MP B Heads with custom comp cams, Stainless Works headers, Custom 3" exhaust, P&P'd intake (Stock runner lengths). Using a PMAS HPX slot sensor in a 3.5" tube. All the intercooler piping has been remade to eliminate all the rubber connectors and bends. Built rear end w/ 4.10 gears through a built Cobra R spec T56. Lots of other stuff I'm forgetting.

RWHP/RWTQ: 622hp/607tq. At 6900 rpm. AFR is pretty rich at 11.2 on the top end. I can still add some more timing and lean the fuel a touch, but choose to keep it nice and conservative on the pump gas for longevity sake.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Made the final power pulls last night. Results are 806 RWHP 656 TQ at 23 psi and 25* timing on E-85.

He should be OK, The #'s are STD so his corrected SAE will probably be 12-15 hp less and that's in line with what most of us are running with the stock internals. The TQ is actually a hair low but I think that's how the D1SC works at lower boost levels. Maybe he can get a SAE corrected copy and post it.

What would i need to make a complete kit from a 01 gt work on my 03 mach besides a bracket

jsingletary 07-10-2010 09:47 AM

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

I am pretty sure the bracket is correct since the front covers and blower mounting are the same. I have a d1sc and intercooler. I called procharger to see what else I would need to make it a complete kit It was about $1400 for everything. I would think that you will need the piping from the intercooler outlet to the throttlebody. You have to change the upper radiator hose and coolant tube, it may be the same as the gt. It should be. I would call procharger and ask a tech guy which parts bags you will need. I would think 85% - 90% the kits are the same.
