Been a while, like almost two years! If anyone remembers I went 10.22/132 on motor. Built it back in 09 with a boss5.0 iron block by mv and heads by starnes. Ran solid 10.7s with factory ecu, factory throttle body and 39lb injectors then I swapped to BS3 and larger injectors, spun it a bit and voila! 10.22. Anyway I spun a bearing and the kellog crank is out of production which threw a tailspin on the rest of the rotating assembly. So my ace in the hole (MV) found a crank and the short block should be done before too long. Hopefully I can have everything back together this fall and get some track time again and see if we can get some 9s on motor! :smokin:

I almost lost a crank to an oiling issue, was very grateful they could save it. Parts are getting hard to come by...

more to the story.... so that last post was summer of '16. That fall my builder had a fire. luckily my block made it thru and after many delays and much frustration...its almost done! Should have my short-block back next week then we will see if I remember how to put this thing back together! dot to dot right!
Cant wait to hear it, drive it, stomp it and hope the hell I can stop w the manual brakes! Its like a log truck but faster, lots faster! :gears::gears:

I wish 2016, Spun bearing Aug, 2014. The original build had a kellog crank, think kellog was the first to make the stroker crank for mod motors. Anyway, it took awhile for the crank to make it to the machine shop. The journal for 4,8 was too far gone so it took awhile to get the new stuff together, basically a scat rotating assembly now. The bad part was the builders shop had a fire last year. I won't go into all that, not kicking anybody when they are down. So all is well, cleaning the garage, pulling parts out of boxes, hope I find all the bolts!
May take the old crank and see if bullet can weld it up then build my factory block again.

Good luck, it sucks to have your car down for so long. Mine has been down since Sept 2017 and I hate it. It'll be down till at least sometime late summer or after. Not many shops that rebuild 4.6 4v motors here in Tucson/Phoenix. And the 1-2 shops I have found have long wait times + it's gonna cost an arm+leg+eye to get it done.

Glad to see its coming back together for you. The 3.75 cranks are getting harder and harder to find. The manely crank is $$. Thats definitely a bad *** NA motor

Hoping to see some low 10s with my combo this year. Kept having tranny and clutch problems.
