88 5.0 LX Coupe, original owner
 

I bought this car new in July of 1988 from Williams Ford in Berea, Ohio. It has 54,750 actual miles. Never hit, 100% original paint. I kept it garaged and covered. Only modifications are a Ford Motorsport H-pipe, Motorsport wires, Motorsport clutch, SVO aluminum driveshaft, DynoMax mufflers and March underdrive pulleys. I kept all stock parts other than mufflers and clutch. I kept all receipts/documents and the window sticker, even the 30 day temp tag. The car was dealer undercoated prior to delivery. I'm now located in Sumter, S.C., southeast of Columbia.

Options are,
5.0 engine
Speed control
rear window defrost
A/C
AM/FM cassette
electric remote mirrors

Car is not perfect but you would be hard pressed to find one in better original shape. Asking $7,000, if interested I can give more details and email more pictures.

very interesting paul, in july of 88 i bought my 87 LX coupe used from ganley l/m. i was told that it too had come from williams ford new and that williams was the only dealer in the area back then that had these lowly LXs.

mine had the exact same undercoating (gone now from under the hood) and the only options are rear defost, tinted windows, and unfortunately dealer installed air (also gone). now she just sits out in the driveway waiting for the newly rebuilt afr headed 306 to back in it whenever i get off my a$$.

you may have better luck on the corral if its not already on there. good luck.

Very cool, we bought our 92 Cougar new from Ganley L/M on Pearl Rd.

I looked all over Cleveland for a 5.0 LX and Williams, my home town Ford dealer was the only one that had any. At the time they had quite a few, even a blue hatch with t-tops, (don't see those very often). They also had 2 stripper coupes but I couldn't live without a/c and cruise.
I just put it on the Corral, thanks, Good luck with getting yours back together, I know all too well about no motivation.

The new Mach 1 is awesome. Maybe we can get together some time and give some folks a good case of double vision.

I can't believe you're selling such a low mileage nice 5.0 car (should have just sold me your Mach 1). I can't imagine selling my 91 GT that I have had since new. But I doubt you'll have any problems with the price.

I ordered an '89 LX 5.0 Coupe way back in the day. I got it on 12/3/88 and paid $12,371.48 for it out the door. :D
