No, 96-98 cobras are different then the newer ones.

It will bolt up with no issue as i did this a few weeks ago with my mach and 97 cobra. The thing is on the 97 the o2 bungs are in a different location so for it to fit on the mach u will need o2 extensions for the front o2 sensors. Beside that everything else works fine. I was using a bassani catted x off of a 97 cobra.
