Cervini's Mach 1 bumper....stock or '03 cobra style
 

Ok guys, since there is so much interest in having an aftermarket company make us our own bumpers with Mach 1 stamped into them, post your votes here so we can get an accurate count.

Some have expressed interest in a stock looking bumper with Mach 1 and some have expressed interest in an '03 cobra bumper with Mach 1.
State your choice!!!

Cobra with Mach 1...also keep the same font that is used on both the stock and cobra bumpers. The cobra bumper adds some more black contrast to our cars.

I would rather have it like OEM instead of the cobra, to much flat black!

The stock makes the backend look fuller. The cobra bumper looks like something is missing.

Definately have to go with the mach 1 style font.

I personally would like to have an oem style bumper with MACH I in bold script, like MUSTANG and COBRA are. I do like the Mach I script, but the back of the car will look too busy with the factory emblem and then matching script on the bumper. Also, would look tougher in a simple bold script.

I'm all about a Cobra front, but not a Cobra back. The pictures above (thanks Corey) helped a lot. I like the black contrast, but it makes the rear end look tubby. IMO. :THUMBSUP:

If I were to do it, I'd prefer a stock looking bumper with the regular font (not Mach 1 style). MAYBE flat black in that shark grin, I dunno.

Either way, it'd be further down my list of enhancements.

Ya gotta go with the Stock bumper. I can hear all the snake owners crying already, You copied our bumper,thoes are for COBRA'S only, and I would have to agree wih them. Besides, I think our bumber looks cleaner anyway,one piece,neat and mean,,,,,IMHO! :gears:

Stock with Mach1.I wish someome would make a chrome piece to go on that oval flat piece over the tail pipe.I guess as an "old" mustanger I miss having some chrome on them.

I'll take one stock with mach1,please,and hold the cobra.

Definitely the Cobra has more modern looks than the Mach 1, it's like you're looking at a regular GT from afar

This might sound stupid, but are we sure the cobra bumper fits our cars?

The main difference I know of is that with the Cobra's IRS, the exhaust doesn't have to loop over a solid axle. So, I don't know if anyone has checked to make sure the tips exit in the same location. The holes look the same, but I'd hate to have Cervini's use a real cobra bumper for the template, then ship these out together and then we all find out at the same time that the exhaust cutouts are a half inch off or something from where our tips actually are. And I know that can be somewhat adjusted with an aftermarket exhaust but some of us still run the stock.

looking closer ...(in my mind) and the car.... keeping the same font and bumper and EVERYTHING but just changing MUSTANG to MACH 1 would look EXCELLENT!:THUMBSUP:

If a bumper with a Mach 1 impression can't be made, is there a plain Mustang bumper with the dual exhaust cutout? If so, couldn't folks buy or trade for this bumper and have Barry make up sets of Mach 1 letters? Wouldn't be perfect but its a last resort alternative. Just a suggestion.

Does anyone know if one could get a Cobra rear bumper that didn't say anything? That's really what I want because the old Mustangs (since it's a heritage car and all) didn't have the name plastered EVERYWHERE just in enough places....once on the side for when you pass them, and once on the rear when they scrutinize this awesome car that put them and their car in their place:COOL:

I guess what I'm trying to say is I want a clean look to the body of the car. I also want to find a way to get rid of that stupid license plate indentation on the front too. I've probably said too much now so I'm going to quit. Thanks though.

I think that it would be nice to have a one of a kind bumper with the mach 1 , but thats probably not going to happen, so I think that the cobra would be my choice, since it would make our cars look different from the gt's, and with the shaker there is no confusing us with the cobra. just my 2 cents worth.

Does anybody have an answer for front plate I really don't want to put holes in my bumper but the "nice trooper" highly recomended I put my plate on.

How 'bout Cobra style, but WITHOUT Mach 1 on it. Keep the Mustang name. It already says Mach 1 on the decklid anyways...

I like that idea...but I dont think the bumpers are going to built anytime soon.

Has anyone done the switch? was there any problem with the mach 1 exhaust tip on the 04 cobra bumper cut outs? i've seen a yellow mach 1 before in this site where it had a mach 1 exhaust tip and seems to fit with that of the cobra bumper. any inputs please. thank you.

I like a cobra style bumper with nothing printed on it . It would look clean and as stated before there is the Mach emblem allready on the back. Just my .02

Has anyone approached a company yet about making the bumper? It would seem like an easy thing to do since these things are pressed out at the factory.

For the guys that like the cobra bumper without any lettering...Why not buy a cobra bumper and fiberglass bondo, sand, and get it painted? If anyone does this anytime soon...I'd like to see pics. :D

As I look at the pics and think about it some more... I'd think that the Cobra bumber with MUSTANG in it would be great. LIke it's been said, Mach 1 is on the deck lid already. I just don't like the stock read cause it's the same as the GT and only exhaust cutouts separate it from the V6. Though I am thinking of getting side exhausts so a Cobra bumper with no cutouts would be great too! AH too many possibilties.

I just wish our bumper was unique in some way

the cobra bumper has 2 tone colors, does anyone knows what type of black color is that on the rear? is it matte or flat black? anyone knows the color code by chance? is it clearcoated ? do you wax the bottom part?
anyone also tried installing the Mach 1 chin spoiler on the Cobra?
