Looks like 31 May thru 3 June 2019 will be a great time for the 50th Mach 1 Anniversary at the All-Ford Nationals at Carlisle, PA. Maybe we'll see some of the new models like a 725 hp+ 2019 Shelby GT-500, a Ford Ranger Raptor with 310 hp, or 4-door all-wheel drive Mach 1 :anger: Naah, John Clor promised us Ford wouldn't do that. :thumbsup: There's a very good rumor going around that I may show up in a 49-year old Mach 1. :eyebrows:

You just beat me to the post! I knew you'd start the 2019 Thread for Carlisle! Next year should be a great year for the 50th Anv. of the Mach 1. Already talked to Carlisle, they will be featuring the Mach 1 (along with a couple other anniversary cars). we'll have to see how they want to display the cars, old to new. I'll keep everyone informed.!

Any donations you would like to give towards a free raffle on Friday evening at our BBQ would be appreciated. Sometimes a member donates a really nice item and we do a cash raffle that goes towards funding the Mach1 Registry website.

New member here from the Mach 1 Registry Facebook group. Dave just helped me get my account activated. I live about 30 minutes away from Carlisle, so I'm going to do my best to make it next year to meet some people. I'm not sure yet what days and events I'll be able to make yet, I'll have to figure that out as I move forward.

Cool, welcome to the registry. You must have been the guy that mentioned maybe staying at the hotel Friday evening for the BBQ. Just keep watching this thread it gets more active after as we get closer to the event. A block of rooms will also be opened up at a group rate at the Homewood Suites in Mechanicsburg (5001 Ritter Rd) this is our host hotel. 03Mach1 & JDraper usually get that going in late fall.

That's the current plan. May have to slum it on the rental next year and get the same thing I had at the last show. Still looking at options.

Chuck wheeling the old Draper car... even though a Mach1 was sold we didn't lose, we gained members.. See you their... And Im sure the previous owners will be in attendance..
My older son bought an 87 LX 5.0 from some really nice people who attend Carlisle each year. They come to inspect the car each year & make sure my son is keeping it looking good... He was advised of this when he bought the car so its no surprise... Encourages him to keep it clean. Enjoy your Mach1

I am pretty sure that Scott Hoag and I will be there to sell the Bullitt/Mach 1 book again. We had the 50th anniversary of the Bullitt in 2018. We can't miss the 50th anniversary of the Mach 1 in 2019.

ok folks, big steps today, not only did I register for the show field, also booked the hotel.... and yes considering I have owned my Mach since 2000, and have been to Carlisle many of those years, really excited to actually take my Mach down there for it's first appearance at Carlisle and it's first trip back South of the border, where it spent its first 7 years of her life <3 :yes:

I was going to but offered the car to Scott to use for his book setup instead. Think that means it might be in the tent anyway since it was in the tent with the Bullits last year.

Any suggestions on changes to the Stig costume. We are redoing the suit portion and plan to leave the Mach1 reference off the new suit. I was looking for any ideas or opinions about it.. Or if anyone had an idea for a different Mach1 mascot outfit/costume. The old suit has gotten stretched out and is too large for me...

While he has driven it numerous times in the past, he will not be driving it this year. He is bringing one of his MRT vehicles to drive back and forth. Just using mine for the book setup.

I was going to pick on the automatic trans but I'm too tired to. Murphy is kicking my butt this week.
