We're in for Thursday-Sunday again!

Dave, if you like, I can take care of getting the hotel blocked out again.

Yep, I'll be there this year. Just picked up my Mach a week ago. My parents live in Hanover, PA so I have a place to stay. Can't wait.

I'm definitely in Thursday thru Sunday. Speaking of Americas Oldest Brewery Mufftang, just picked up another case of yuengling last night.

Same Hotel :yeh:
How about some ideas of where to eat Friday & Saturday nights. Thursday theres food served at the Hotel, but does anyone want to go out that night?

Places we ate in the past:
Hoss's Steakhouse, Mechanicsburg
Mechanicsburg Diner

Any new ideas?
I hear theres a Hooters in Mechanicsburg, but gets crowded because of Carlisle. Oldschool has gone there a few times.

Any cruise ideas, if it's not raining. HUH (silly me)

We are planning on getting there late Wednesday through Sunday. My father has a 40' RV that he took and we stayed at the fairgrounds. That was the best! Will be doing that again.

Glad to know what Haeg likes in beer, as I still owe him one from last year!

Don't forget the drag racing on Friday evening. We went a couple of years ago and that was real entertaining. The track is very,..... well not to put it down, primitive. Probably alot like the tracks that were around the country in the 1960's. But still a lot of fun to see the lightweights blow down the 1/8th.

Hmm! Maybe I'll have to head out Wednseday night as well. Depends on the Baby sitter status (AKA Grandparents). The wife is ready to go as well. Speaking of RV's would they allow an RV to be parked near your car. I have a 25 foot RV. It would fit in, being a Ford E-450. Wheres the show area for them?? :)

I'll be sure to have plenty of cold ones at the show this year.

Yuengling Lager...mmmmmmm. Picked up a case on Saturday for the PSU game  .

No Mechanicsburg diner this time....too many problems last year. I'll see if I can scout up some more options, or maybe we can get one of our local members to dig a little...

We'll be heading down Thursday after my daughter gets out of school, so we should be there for dinner on Thursday evening.

Re: Carlisle All Fords Mach 1 Regional - June 1-3, 2007

There were some other restaurants near the hotel... but the crusie to the food is part of the fun. I have a friend out that way, I might be able to ask some advise on a place to eat. I am more interested in the parking area at a restaurant, and that they can fit a good sized crowd of people.

Does anyone want to do a BBQ back at the hotel, they have a grill. NJ corn should be in and available. I can get a sack of 50 + ears for under $14.00. Go to local food stores for sausage, burgers, dogs maybe even do some steak. We got about 9 months to get it all together. So just throwing out ideas.

Yahoo! Cant believe we are planning already.

Hotel - Jeff sounds good! At least 20 rooms, I think we filled them all last year.
We may have to wait until Jan 1, let me know.

Food - There are a variety of places, Yes there is a Hooters in Mechanicsburg, we went a couple years ago, very small parking lot. We can investigate other options....new places.!!

I will handle the Club Tent and get the registration stuff going.!

Re: Carlisle All Fords Mach 1 Regional - June 1-3, 2007

If anyone is seriously interested, we are only 40 minutes away in Gettysburg and have a large plot of land.

We would be more than happy to host a BBQ or other Mach party during the evenings of the event.

Otherwise, I am hoping to bring and have my 79 Pace Car ready next year instead of my 84 Anny. My wife (Joan) of course will have her Mach for all the days.

I can not believe its almost time for Fall Carlisle all ready, then Hershey, then the big miserable winter sleep.

Either way, our place and field is open during the event. Collectively think about it over the months to come. we ususally throw a major blow out on the 4th, but with it being on a Wends in 07 whats the point and can easily rechannel it into a Mustang get-togther party during the Nats.

SHOW
Just remind the event coordinators that we want to be listed as our own seperate group and not lumped in with 05 V-6's, whats the name Dave Point...
EATS
Small parking lot is a problem..... The local Mach guy, what was his name Bill, he took us to the restaraunt in town on Thursday night. He's the one to ask about local eateries... I think it was the Colony House

Ready to go....

I'll be there in 2007 since I'll be only 3 exits away and about a 30 minute ride. Unless I buy the Saleen Mustang I have been looking at. The dealer is really interested in my MACH1. They have interest because it has only 4,000 miles on it and no after market modifications.

They offered me 23K for the Saleen with my car. Sticker price on the Saleen is over 46K.

The home CFO is reviewing this plan.

Hi David,
I spoke with the show manager and we looked at the changes and what happen is we had a class in 2005 of 2005+ other mustangs and there was only 3 in that class, so in 2006 he grouped them into your class and inadvertently dropped the wording Mach 1. I will break you guys off next year into your own class and good luck with putting the meet together. If you need anything, let me know.
See you in June!
Thanks,

I love it! We are getting excited about an event that is 36 weeks away!

If you haven't been, Carlisle All-Ford Nationals is the pinnacle (would have used Mecca, but didn't want to offend any Muslim Mach Owners) of the car event year. Can we get our order in for NO RAIN for the weekend? :o

we can roast Galaxies!! :31: and be in bed by 9:00 PM. Hey those guys hung late on Saturday night and was drinking some beers too. Party Dinosaurs.

Best comment was I think by oldschool, "hey thats us in another 20 years."

What night to do the BBQ?? Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, and do we need to sorta reserve the grill with the hotel, or just take it over.

Some of my old chevys with power glides used to leak where the dipstick went into the trans, required a new O-ring and that usually cured it. Couldn't see the top side of the tranny from under the car and it would leak down and look like the pan was leaking.

Yeah, I think thats where i've narrowed it down to...pissed me off...didn't smoke since that high speed dash with curt, drove it all week to work without it leaking until today driving the 30 bypass from coetesville to west chester to check up on some maint. on a helicopter there....only was turning about 3800 RPM but that seem to be the leak threshhold, back the RPM down & the leak & smoke stops....I bought a new dip stick tube just in case the old one is distorted near the " o" ring...

I introduced Jamie to it, Yuengling brewed in Pottsville, PA. He wanted to take some back to Kentucky. It's served at local Hooters, thats why I go. :ORANGE:
The other CanEHdians brought Molson Canadian Beer, told me that American beer should not be called beer, its too watered down.. They were too, funny. Hopefully see them again as well.

The low alcohol content in your beer is probably their point.
Canadian is my usual beer of choice here too. The occasional Stella, or MGD.

Whenever I am on your side of the fence I like to have a bud. If only one, must be a bud.
I also greatly enjoy Dr. Pepper there as well. The taste is better.

I am VERY interested and salivating for a Yuengling now. Dammit, so long to wait.

I actually was drinking Molson Ice, until I came across Yuengling Lager. Cost less and taste good. The older I grow the more I enjoy different beers. Be in EPCOT next month @ WDW, it's the food and wine festival. Lots of my favorite things Beer, Alchohol and Food, what else do you need to survive... Oh yea and the wife :rolleyses
I think Bud is watered down. If you like Bud, you'll enjoy YL.

I'll vouch for the smooth taste of the Yuenglings. It rocks, but you can't get it anywhere around here. HAEG turned me onto it at Carlisle and this time I WILL DEFINATELY bootleg some back to KY... hahah. I was in Myrtle Beach for MustangWeek and you could buy it there which surprised me... I also brought some back with me then. But I found that the quantity did not last very long.
 :28:
The Mach's trunk is just a little too small I guess. I need to bring an 18 wheeler with me for some Smokey and the Bandit action...

Yuenglings... a long way to go and a short time to get there... eastbound and down
