Highest Mileage Mach 1
Who has the most miles on an 03/04 Mach 1? I notice alot of us have really low miles (I only have 30k on my 03) and wanted to see if anyone was using them as a daily driver and if so how they hold up. I remember the old 5.0's going well into the 200k's with no problems. How does our motor stand the test of time?

I have 105,432 right now
no troubles. still strong... about to procharge it since it is nearly paid off I drive just to drive it. At least one cruise every single day (except when I am working cause I work 12 hour shifts) |

I have 84,500 on mine still a great running car must have been finished on a wednesday. Sadly it is now in the garage for the winter.

Coming up on 83,000 miles.
Problems I've had: A/C Compressor blew - fixed under warranty 6-CD changer died, replaced with new one Bent right rear axle - Replaced cheap Currently: Throw-Out bearing is ready to die So, for the amount of crap I've put my car through, it's holding up nicely. I'm impressed. |

No Worries....
My Mach has been my daily driver for a few years now. I am coming up on 120,000 miles and the engine is still as strong as ever. I can't say the same about the transmission though....Lol... of course that may be an isolated incident :) |

At 104k right now, just basic stuff needed replacement. Clutch/TOB, Alternator, and brakes and oil changes,etc.
Car still runs great. I love it. |

83k+ of very hard driven miles. New trans, but that was driver error when I let someone drive it.. Other then that the ONLY thing I've changed is oil & plugs. (and whatever mods)

54,427.2 miles here, glad to hear it can hold up when the odometer rolls into the triple digits. especially since mine is my daily grinder (for now)...

i got my car when it had 67,xxx miles on it and now it has 81,xxx miles on it. since the time i got it, had to replace the seal on the differential and the transmission. other than that everything's been fine. hope it stays that way.....:cool:

well it's not my Hollywood Mach but my daughter's 1996 V6 Mustang has now 326,357 miles, only the Radiator and fan assy has been replaced, but what so funny, she asked me to replace the aluminum oil pan due to wearing out the thread hole for the drain plug with so many oil changes..LOL.. so found a OEM pan and just replaced it last week..but did see where it does need a intake manifold gaskets..can't believe FoMoCo has discontuinued it some time ago and was told only the 96-98 V6's used this kit,,but was very lucky to find a small Ford dealer south of Indianapolis who had one and had it picked up. What I was really surprise was there was hardly no sludge at all in the pan. Saweet!!! My dad bought this car new in Florida and it lived it's entire life down there until 2007 when he gave it to my daughter who is in college at University of Southern Indiana. She is now in Northern Ireland for a semister so I have it now until June. He is a retired mechanic and is a sole believer of changing oil every 3000 miles and it shows in the pan.. It's too bad the black paint didn't hold up to the Florida sun but it has no rust and runs pretty good!!:THUMBSUP:

mine is at about 140 and still going pretty strong. I haven't had it long so don't know what has had to be replaced up till now, i've done all 4 brake rotors on it.
only issue is a tack tack tack noise coming from the left bank as it goes through about 2500rpm and a fault code claiming an occasional missfire on 7. I'm going to explore it more in the next month or 2, i think it might be in the valve train. car still has plenty of grunt though and handles nice and tight. i have a feeling the big miles its done was probly all highway stuff, just ticking over at 60mph |

84,xxx and was a police car for 4 years. Everything rattles, and all the suspension is getting replaced. Syncro's in tranny are going out. Rear end needs new axles. Other then that, not too bad I guess. Get's driven every day. Some days does the lil puff o blue smoke upon start up, but hey, it's had a hard life:gears:

I'm at about 115-120K now. And several hundred dragstrip passes.
New engine at a little over 100K but the old one was still fine. I just wanted bigger displacement. In fact my buddy has my old engine in his race car now but he finally changed internals so he could crank up the boost. |

I just hit 180k miles
Original Motor with 100 shot of Nitrous for about a year - have procharger dying to be installed Original Tranny Replaced stock clutch at 160k miles with Spec Stage 2+ due to failed throwout bearing (common?) - Although now the Spec bearing making a little noise... Replaced Thermostat Housing at 85k miles due to cracked housing Replaced front brakes twice Getting ready to replace rear brakes 5 sets of tires 1 alignment about a million oil changes Added OR/Prochamber and K&N FIPK Think I have an O2 sensor on pass side going out now as my LONGFT1 will just rise randomly and light coming on. ABS sys started throwing random light and now light on full. Other than the small issues, thing still drives like new. |

130,000 miles
Transmission (<2500 factory defect) Fr driver brake caliper failure Rear driveshaft seal? Clutch and tob (80,000) Until recently it's been tight and smooth. Now I got quite a bit on driveline/engine noise. Engine is coming out in the next few months. |
