Notice how Jeffy, on a high speed track in a COT,
STILL cannot get a handle on the new car?
Jr. and JJ both run pretty well.
Jack Roush is right, that "some" drivers do not have the ability
to drive a poor handling, low aero car.
Same team, same car.

I agree. It's only a matter of time before they pull out of the Nationwide and Sprint series as well. I hate Toyota on the road and I hate them on the track.

Re: NASCAR thread

I suspect Ford isn't too far behind. NASCAR wanted SPEC race cars and that's what they're giving us. When it's only a matter of sticker determining the differences between the cars it's time to watch something else.

I hate to say it.. but i agree.

Re: NASCAR thread

I was thinking about this today.
What if:
Roush, Hendrick, Penske and Evernham all got together for a Mt. Dew.
Then Bruton Smith walks in.
"Hey, how about we say "F" ASSCAR,
take our cars and sponsors, race at the tracks WE own.
Work a deal with Speed Channel to televise everything.
We will use ACTUAL STOCK bodies,no ricer fins,
run DOHC motors, and factory computer, limit the RPM's,
get Firestone and Michelin (not American, I know) to supply tires,
and NO rstrictor plates allowed.
No Foreign crap allowed either.
We'll all just not show up for a race
and let the Toilettas keep providing Brian France with BJ's

gift certifictes for that discount club."
Sign me up.

I know, it's just such a shame that Brian "Pansy" France ruined everything.

They've been ruining it for the past 20 some years with their desire to take from one or give to another to balance the field instead of letting the best car win.

Perhaps Napa will wake up and remove it's name from a sub par meatball driver like Waltrip and his team. SCREW TOYOTA. Good for Roush

Why would they? He gets more TV time every week then a lot of other drivers when he either spins out, wrecks someone, gets passed by the leader, or blows up.

Great finish by Biffle and Edwards. Enjoyed Kyles run no end, although we could have done without JJ getting in the way of the real talented racers.

I was switching through channels when they said
that Shrub was having problems.
Made me want to watch.
Good job by the Roush guys today.
(some luck would have helped the 6 and 17, 26)

I agree, great finish for Biffle and Edwards. Also agree with Kyles great run today. However, your lack of common sense has blinded you to the reality that JJ is one of the best on that track. (meant in jest)

I'm just glad that JJ finally got a haircut...much longer and he would have been sporting a mullet. But then again, he does drive a chebby.

Re: NASCAR thread

Like it or not, I believe Kyle will still be a threat for the championship by the end of the season. But I could be wrong.

birdman941 09-15-2008 09:32 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

Rumor has it that ASSCAR is going to make truth in advertising
a staple for sponsors, drivers and owners.
This has prompted Comedy Central to buy a bankrupt investment firm
at a currently very cheap price,
and sponsor the now unsponsored Michael Waltrip Racing car.
The new sponsor?

Laughing Stock Racing.

I hope you are wrong. But I have to agree with you, unfortunately.

I'm sure if Kyle manages not to win the championship this year that NASCAR will 'tweak' the rules for next year...again!
