Extremely poor choice in compression. You left a lot of power on the table.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

The compression ratio was set up for more boost.Tried a smaller pulley on the procharger had belt slippage. What ratio would have been better for 12lbs.

Doesn't matter. I have 9.0:1 compression and run 25.5 lbs. of boost. You could have run 9.5:1 and even 10.0:1 compression with your Procharger.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

If I keep my car and forge, I plan on running 12-14 pounds on a 10.1 motor. I figure 9 pounds on a stock bottom with out any issues means that I should be able to run 14 on a forged motor.

9.5:1 would be best for 12 lbs (considering 91-93 oct). You could be running 14-15lbs with your CR (considering 91-93 oct). Get a new belt & tensioner for the belt slip. Instead of a smaller pulley, try an overdrive crank pulley. You could go 8-rib, but it's not really needed for that level of boost. Considering you have the P1, I would say the overdrive crank is your best bet since you'll be spinning it so fast.

Not on pump gas... high comp & high boost will always make the most power... on race gas.

B.S. I don't run race gas. One can always lower the timing if need be.

93 Pump Gas all day every day !!!

Actually i could tune for 89 if i wanted too !

Scott McClure 02-22-2009 08:10 PM

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

I think I could run 93 if I got rid of my 4lb. lower. 89, forget it.:claus:

...ok, so, like I said... on 91-93 at his CR, 14-15 lbs.

by race gas I meant anything other than pump (89-93), not necessarily C16.

I have the P1SC and before an OD crank pulley I made 13lbs with a power pipe, now im seeing almost 16 with same combo and 10%od crank.

Not needed at all with our setup (pusher that is). The stock setup has worked fine for me for the past 3.5 years in the Florida heat.
