Awesome collection Sym!! I like the set-up and how you have the little ID tags behind each car. I take it you made them yourself? Also, where did you get the small Mach 1 poster from?

Thanx for the compliment:) I actually printed the little mach. I can post the image if you want, all you need is one piece of photo paper and it prints out very nice! PM me if you are interested:)

Hey Sym, Awesome work on the wallpaper designs you made on stangology.com!!!! I see you did a photoshop on that pic with the AB Mach and made it yellow. Is it possible to do a DSG like that?

Well, it's been a while but I finally picked up another diecast. Nothing too specal but it is a black with gold stripes 1973 Mach 1. I haven't been seeing many new things for stangs lately. There all the same, just different colors.

I agree that the pony world has been a little bare in new releases. I'm thinking about picking up a new GT500, but I'm still on the fence. I just picked up (actually ordered) a new non-pony addition as well that's pretty cool. Pics and info to follow...

The K-Line Ford dealership comes with a die-cast 1/43 scale model of the Mustang Mach III. Too cool for words.:horse:

Okay I was digging through some old pictures from over 20 years ago and found and scanned this one. It was taken back in the mid-80's at Herbie's Auto Museum in Charleston, SC. The museum is long gone, his wife sold everything off when he died in the early 90's. Which version of the Batomobile is this one? I remember looking into the engine bay through the wheelwell and it looked like a 390-4V Ford engine. :3:

Re: Die -cast cars

This had to be late '80's or later, note the Jack Nichloson Joker standee in the background. The car is the #3 car. I got this information from Eric who runs the 1966 Batmobile website. The canopy and beacon were replaced at some point (which is why I thought it was a replica, I stand corrected) and apparently continues to be in the same condition to this day. Thanks for sharing that. I hope to see one (real or replica) at Woodward.

Re: Die -cast cars

Get ready to...wait diecast collectors. Mattel has announced that there will be delays in product delivery for pretty much all of its products made overseas (which is probably everything) due to the lead paint scare of late. Even though diecasts, specifically Hot Wheels, are not in the recall, they are looking at the safety aspects of all of their products. I suspect many
other diecast importers are going to do the same.

Well that sucks. I guess I'll be saving a little bit of money for a little while then. LOL. Of course, I haven't been seeing any real cool new ones out there lately. :(

Are any of you guys in the Hot Wheels Club or Red Line Club memebers?

They have some pretty cool offerings from time to time with some freebe stuff thrown in for good measure.

I'm a HWC, but not an RLC, member. Haven't gotten anytime free, but from time to time they do offer some unique pieces. That's generally reserved for RLC members, though. Regular HWC members get the left overs, if there are any. I got a really cool SpecrtaFlame Mach 1 when it offered to the general membership after a computer crash brought RLC sales to a grinding halt. :borg:

Im still waiting for a mustang II. It is really agrivating to me that almost every mustang has seen a 1:18 release except a big gap between 1974-1983. STOP COMING OUT WITH new colored 60's stangs every other week ****1t and give us something new! Id kill for a 77 Mustang Cobra II to add to my 1:18 collection.

Re: Die -cast cars

The Wild Cherry series has a 1:64 and a 1:24 series which includes a Mustang II. I'd like to see them open up the series to include Cobra II (both style paint schemes, please) and a King Cobra, and I'd put in my vote for a Monroe Handler as well.

Go to Hot Wheels Collectors
and I believe it's free to register and $24 for the RLC. I joined the RLC cause they usually have a pretty cool car for free when you join.

Could it be the paint on the cars has lead in it and it was his decision for the Chinese company to make them?:frown:

The guy that whacked himself was in charge of the company in China Mattel was buying their stuff from. Probably did it to avoid public execution....
