Mark started out by apologizing for the final mess, which he had a hand in creating. He tapped Edwards, which also took out JR Racings Brad Kezlowski (sp?). Mark is a super guy, I wish there were 42 others out there like him.

Causing the wreck was out of character for Mark Martin, and I do believe he was sincere in his apology afterward.

Here's a question to pose for you insecure with your manhood(:claus: ) Gordon haters. If Gordon were to do the same thing in todays race and take Martin out and wrecking him for the win how many of you would be on here blasting him that evening? Enquiring minds want to know.

My prediction for today.

1. Carl Edwards(see I'm not totally biased)
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Tony Stewart(still hate the punk and Toyota)
4. Kyle Busch(same as Stewart)
5. Jimmy Johnson

No lie. That's a really bad impersonation of our resident Hendricks fan. I mean, it's not like we'd be willing to pay any ransom or anything like that, but it's better than having a JGR fan around here...or a Toyota owner (sorry, IMACHU, had to do it! )...

Speaking of Hendricks...and I am NOT making this up...there is a small article in Autoweek about the death of one of the founding members of that racing organization. His name? Jimmy Johnson...yeah, that's what I thought, too. Same name, different guy. But he was one of those who help get Hendricks started many years ago. Hate to hear of his passing, but it sure got my attention, as I'm sure it did many readers!

I think we see the dangers of leaving your computer signed on! :23:

The last time I walked away from my computer at work (while signed in here) someone stuck a Z06 in my sig line. It was funny when I started getting questions about my new vette. :23:

I did get even!!!

I'm going with Kurt Busch today. :smokin:

Your right what was I thinking. The order of finish will be

Gordon, Johnson, Earnhardt, Mears in that order. A clean sweep for the Hendricks team:)

However, I think we can all agree that any team Toyota sucks.

START THE RACE ALREADY!!!! Man, shut up and start the race. I did'nt turn on my tv at 12:30 to wait until 1:45pm for the race to start. :anger: This is why I find it hard to watch a whole race anymore.

I'm glad to see Stewart and his Toyota out of the race. But with that I don't like to see any driver get hurt and Tony needed help walking off the track.

Did you say the same thing about Mark Martin in yesterdays race?

No doubt it was driver error. But name me one driver on that track who has never had that happen to him.

Guess I'll be eating crow from most of you this week. :23:

Didn't see yesterday's race.
Mark Martin is, and always has been a class act.
The same can never be said for Jeffy.

I couldn't agree with you more about Mark Martin being a class act. But I couldn't disagree with you more about Gordon not being one. Not many are in Marks league of class but Gordon is far from being a dirty or classless driver.

With all of that said, Jr. really started the whole chain of events.

Ford won.
That's all that matters.
Way to go Carl.

Jeffy was racing hard and made a mistake. He admitted to it :worship: and was the one to pay the big price for his attempt. :smokin:

I'd say it's just racing on this one. :smokin:

no toyota again --- that's the main thing. :23:

Re: NASCAR thread

It's backflip time!!!

Who hoo Carl!!! Way to take the points lead!

Jeff is obviously not my favorite person right now, but I'm not so sure that Jr. wasn't as much at fault for some of it when he got that bad start. Really liked the way that JJs car ran today, he needs to run it the rest of the season.

What Toyotas?

ylo called it! :23: Tony to a hard hit. He won't be worth a sht the rest of the week. Hate to see what happened to JG and Matt. Two contenders for sure. But Jeff did take "some of the blame".

I beg to differ. As a long time Mark Martin fan, when you tell your fans for a year that you are retiring and plan to stay on with the same owner/manufacturer to run the trucks, then bolt to a Chebby, that's not my definition of class. Prior to that act of treason, he was the best. My opinion of him is kind of like the guy who's wife ran off with the next door neighbor. When he sucks, I'm glad he's gone, when he does well I get begin to really dislike him. All you Jr. fans know a little about what it's like, except he stayed in the same manufacturer's car. Imagine he went to Toyota & that would be about the same.

Ask me about my thoughts about Bill Elliott & Dale Jarrett !!:3amin:

Don't worry, I will get over it, but I don't have to like it!!
