I am sitting here in the stands and just watched the first of the two duals. IMHO Jimmy Johnson is BAD for NASCAR. I near the point of stopping to watch because he is NASCARS golden boy.

Thunderbolt 02-11-2010 03:49 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

Yeah, after watching that race I just shook my head and realized their is nothing keeping this guy from winning a 5th straight. He is incredible. I don't hate him as a driver like I do Jeff Gordon, but I have been watching less Nascar each year so that may be why. I was glad to see Michael Waltrip crash and burn. I can't stand that guy. I hope he does'nt make the race.

Re: NASCAR thread

Dale Earnhardt Jr = AWESOME!

21st in the the duel, that works out to about 40th best if they were all on the track together. He was one spot behind the always awesome Derrick Cope, but he was able to edge the world famous Aric Almirola. :worship: :worship: :worship:

Now I know why he is so popular.

Has Little E won a race yet with that team? I'm thinking he has'nt. He's gonna need to produce something this year. Maybe another goose egg.

You mean 25th in points isn't good enough? NASCAR'S most prominent member of The Lucky Sperm Club has only won one race since May 6, 2006.

I thought you just raced to "score points" and "get in the chase", not to win races anyway.

It's pretty sad ever other Hendrick driver/team is doing good and he sucks.

I have pulled for him ever since he got into Cup series but it's hard to root for a driver who seems to have his head up his :butt:

I hope he doesn't think the beard is good luck :12:

Kahne won the second duel with the new FR9 engine.
Victory 1st time out.
Not bad.

Anybody tired of Danica yet? I know NASCAR needs the ratings but could they overhyper her any more?

Very cool that Casey Kahne is the highest qualifyling Ford! A good start to a new page in his book.

It would be different if she was a D Cup in a Cup car!

I'm in it just for her fights and tradin' paint with the boys.............

I never watch the Nationwide Series so unless she moves up to Cup racing I'll never see her.

Yes! A great start to the year.
They ran the FR9 several times last year and raced it at Talladega in the 6 and 17. The funny thing is most of the press is calling it the first "purpose built" NASCAR engine for Ford. :23:

For all you Dale Jr detractors, you sure can't blame him for what happened today In the Nationwide race. I think he's a very good driver but it's hard to standout these days.

Pretty good race today. No Danica for the end. :smokin:

I loved seeing big ears spin at the end. Trucks coming up tonight.

Thunderbolt 02-13-2010 05:15 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

I actually saw 30 laps of the Nationwide race. I liked how they were airing what Danica was saying on the radio. She's definitely starting at square 1, but I've got nothing against her. You Go Girl! :31:

The Mustang Daytona Pace Car is very cool, with the red, white and blue stripe as well as the Boss 302 tri-bar grille. Hate that Carl had to go to the back, but he'll make his way back up front. I'm real excited to see Casey in his first FR9 race. Should do well.

I hate to say this but Danica was saying "shes a victim" from the crash. Hmmm makes ya wonder what this girl is gonna bring to NASCAR.

Too lazy to research it here,
bit I called for ISC to repave Daytona YEARS AGO.
Brian "the toiletta azz kissing pansy" France is on the tube now.
Announcers are sucking up.
I wouls ask:
Hey, pansy azz, why are you so cheap that you won't repave this bumpy track?"
Last repave was 1978!
32 freaking years since it was paved.
http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/nascar...ory?id=3899797
Pansy boy said last week they would do it in 3 years.
I think it needs it sooner dumbazz.

I was there several years ago for the July 4 race at night (Jeff Burton won),
and the track was crappy even then.
Sakrete asphalt patch should be the sponsor of the new pothole 500.

GOOOOOOOOOOORDON!!! You dumbazz!! Let's hear him :eyes: about bump drafting after this weekend. He was so opposed to it, yet he does it in 2 races and wrecks other cars. He got his payback on the last lap. Good job to McMurray. He has'nt done anything in a long time. A long race, but still good.

biffle got robbed....that is all

falcongtho3 02-14-2010 08:30 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

A good race, overall. I like McMurray and am glad to see him do well. I'd have preferred to see Greg take it, but at least it wasn't a 'Yota or a Hendrick car winning (Gordon proved he's washed up, and JJ got the finish he deserved). Might be the best season for actual racing yet, if this was any indicator (except for that whole pothole thing).

man those red flags were killing me! i honestly thought they were green white checkered on the 3rd before last wreck...then they said they were going green white checkered...then they went again...i was soooo pissed! mcmurray is long overdue for a win but biffle should have on that race. now they just need to re-pave daytona....please none of that levigating **** they did to charlotte!

JR was really steamed at not winning...might be because he got beat out by a car running a DEI engine!?!?!

Let's bring this back to the front. JJ for the win in Komifornia. Would have rather seen M. Martin first across the line.

Glad they didn't talk all race about Danica in the Nationwide last week.

The pace 'car' for the N'wide race will be an F-150 Super Snake (supposedly) and the cup race will be paced by a new GT-350 (definitly).

Why did'nt they just place a mannequin next to Carroll Shelby. I doubt Kim Kardashian had any clue what was going on.

Re: NASCAR thread

I stand by what I said earlier in here.... Jimmy Johnson is BAD for NASCAR. Other then going to the Gatorade duals, I have yet to watch a lap.... I respect his talents, his crew chief, and his luck, but NASCAR to me is now boring! Bring on Danica and have Victoria Secrets sponsor her. I would like to see her car decked out like a chick wearing a bra over the head lights and a thong running over the rear deck lid.... Imagine the marketing they could do with her at her trailers. All those females at the track buying their Danica teddy's for their hubby's, boy friends, or significant others.

Seriously though, I wonder how many others are quitting on the sport?

falcongtho3 02-28-2010 08:54 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

Enjoyed seeing the new GT350 on track and seeing Carroll. Liked wearing the t-shirt for the day. Totally disgusted with the actual race. JJ and Hendrick will be the demise of NASCAR, mark my words.

Anyone else notice the fans disguised as empty seats?
Now they paint the seats different colors so it doesn't look empty.

Well today was pretty exciting. Carl's stock went way down with that bonehead move today, how stupid. I was happy with the outcome. Kurt seems to have grown up some from when he was champ and had his azz on his shoulders. I was pulling for Casey and the Ford but as long as GM, Jimmie, or Juan didn't win it was a good day.

birdman941 03-07-2010 06:40 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

I have no issue with the Edwards wreck.
Maybe the newbie wont mess with him any more.
Like when the 24 used to mess with Rusty.
Rusty punted him once, never happened again.
