how is the highway "snitch" hotline used/ responded to. you know the "report suspicious activity" "report dwi's" " report aggressive driving" and so on?

For where I am...it depends on what else is going on and the nature of the caller and the information provided.

I retired 2 years ago after 30 years as patrol officer, vice and narcotics, and back to patrol............would be glad to answer questions......Mostly familiar with NC law..........and my memory fades more every day from loss of brain cells, so don't be too hard on me.

Must have been the incustody parties and the like after a good day of policing. We do it for our Dept. as well. LOL

Welcome laeng123! I see you are new to the Registry as well. Nice to have other coppers around! It's also nice to see that someone has been on the job longer than me, too! I'm coming up on 17 years in May, and still in patrol. That is where the fun is at!

Ive got two years in.....Im probly the least seasoned guy here lol. Coming up on my 24th birthday in a couple of weeks.

I do have to agree this is a good thread and I am in law enforcement. we need to get a few questions going on how you would handle situations as well. I love to hear how different people will handle different things. might just be me though.
