The verdict is in,
and ASSCAR put shrub and Cousin Carl on probation for the rest of the year.
I understand Shrub, but why Carl Edwards?
ASSCAR says it's for the after race deal,
but what did Carl do that was against the rules?

Thunderbolt 08-27-2008 03:27 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

Their probably going to say he also participated by spinning Bush out of the way after Bush hit him, which is B.S. .

birdman941 08-27-2008 03:45 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

ASSCAR wonders why there are empty seats, ratings are down, etc.
Gee whiz, what could it be?
It's like a monkey "doing" a football in Daytona.
Too much sushi at the meetings there recently I suspect.

No points were taken I'm sure so as not to mess up all of NASCAR's carefully laid plans for Toyota to win the Cup this year.

BTW, Carl did nothing wrong. Since when is turning LEFT wrong in NASCAR? :23:

I agree .................. but had he not done it dumbo would have looked even worse and may have got some points taken away. Hard to tell with nascar these days.

I agree. Carl should have just waited until after the race and pushed Dumbo around a little in the pits. It seems that Nascar has no problem with letting drivers vent frustrations after a race this year. However, on the track ramming the way both of them did even though Edwards was in retaliation and understandable is not going to be tolerated and in Nascars defense justifiable.

And Dumbo wonders why he was bumped and passed. Because these guys out there on the track know that week in and week out in all three circuits, the Truck Series, Nationwide, and Sprint, Kyle is always in some kind of scrap with other drivers.

The old saying is you reap what you so. Or in the words of Shaq to Koby "how does my azz taste now". :23:

Re: NASCAR thread

Well...
JJ took another pole, nearly from JG, but this time it seems they've caught a 'Yota driver n between them. Sound kinky...

Not good qualifying for the Ford guys, but that'll give em a better chance to get up a good head of steam to blow past those NASCAR wanna be's that drive those brand 'X' cars...

Yeah, I still can't believe how much of a sell-out he really was. You don't see Mark Martin whoring up Chevys. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why both of those drivers switched manufacturers because $ is the universal language and only a complete moron wouldn't take the money and run. I just don't think DJ needs to keep playing up the hype now that he's an "objective journalist" (yeah, that's the oxymoron of the decade! :23: ).

Let' see here, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............
I am driving a Robert Yates powered car,
and since I now suck and can't win,
I should switch to Toiletta.
Makes perfect sense.

Notice how Jeffy, on a high speed track in a COT,
STILL cannot get a handle on the new car?
Jr. and JJ both run pretty well.
Jack Roush is right, that "some" drivers do not have the ability
to drive a poor handling, low aero car.
Same team, same car.

I agree. It's only a matter of time before they pull out of the Nationwide and Sprint series as well. I hate Toyota on the road and I hate them on the track.

Blackpony04 09-08-2008 11:26 PM

Re: NASCAR thread

I suspect Ford isn't too far behind. NASCAR wanted SPEC race cars and that's what they're giving us. When it's only a matter of sticker determining the differences between the cars it's time to watch something else.

Re: NASCAR thread

I was thinking about this today.
What if:
Roush, Hendrick, Penske and Evernham all got together for a Mt. Dew.
Then Bruton Smith walks in.
"Hey, how about we say "F" ASSCAR,
take our cars and sponsors, race at the tracks WE own.
Work a deal with Speed Channel to televise everything.
We will use ACTUAL STOCK bodies,no ricer fins,
run DOHC motors, and factory computer, limit the RPM's,
get Firestone and Michelin (not American, I know) to supply tires,
and NO rstrictor plates allowed.
No Foreign crap allowed either.
We'll all just not show up for a race
and let the Toilettas keep providing Brian France with BJ's

gift certifictes for that discount club."
Sign me up.

They've been ruining it for the past 20 some years with their desire to take from one or give to another to balance the field instead of letting the best car win.

Well,some good news.
UPS decided to dump Michael "Jap car lover" Waltrip racing.

Why would they? He gets more TV time every week then a lot of other drivers when he either spins out, wrecks someone, gets passed by the leader, or blows up.

I agree, great finish for Biffle and Edwards. Also agree with Kyles great run today. However, your lack of common sense has blinded you to the reality that JJ is one of the best on that track. (meant in jest)

Like it or not, I believe Kyle will still be a threat for the championship by the end of the season. But I could be wrong.

Re: NASCAR thread

Rumor has it that ASSCAR is going to make truth in advertising
a staple for sponsors, drivers and owners.
This has prompted Comedy Central to buy a bankrupt investment firm
at a currently very cheap price,
and sponsor the now unsponsored Michael Waltrip Racing car.
The new sponsor?

Laughing Stock Racing.
