MACH 1'S were made to were Magnum 500's.

Here is a from the rear picture. I have 315's on the back and they are right at the edge of the fender. I like it, but I am older with different tastes.

I am originally from Iowa also, Cherokee, 50 years ago. Still have cousins there and in SD.

Your car looks good from the rear. I want those wheels so bad, but they are a little pricey so I'm torn between the Vintiques and AFS Mach 1’s in 17x9 and 17x10.5. It’s a small world my mom is from Cherokee I have family there also.

I agree that Mach1's were made to wear Magnum 500's, but the Magnum 500 wheels were not a factory option on '69 or '70 Mach1's.

Sorry guy's this is not my car... I found this for sale on E-BAY last November, I contacted the owner about and he told me he had 17x8 on the front and 18x9.5 on the back he also stated that he had a set of MRT lowering springs in the car, I believe the car was located in Michigan and who Knows maybe it's someone's car from this site. I like how the car looks with the wheel vintiques magnum 500's, so I saved the picture in hope that my Mach can look like this one day... just have to first pay it off before starting with the mod's.

Thinking about buying some 18x9 black chrome AFS wheels from ebay for my DSG. Concerned about too much dark color on the car so may go with the 18x9 AFS machined face with black outline. Any pics of black chrome on DSG? Thanks for any help.

Anyone have pics of the 17" AFS Mac Black with machined face on a DSG. I did a search and couldn't seem to find anything. I'm thinking of going with these if AFS doesn't get off their a$$ and ship the ones I ordered.

Can't really tell as photo will not expand beyond thumbnail.

I would like to say I can be brutally honest when it comes to how I feel about the "look" of a car. Although many try to get the formula right, there are as many sucessful cars as they're are failures. I see alot of cars that miss the bar when it comes to a car that works; there is a fine line between a winner and a loser.

Comments are not meant to offend any one in paticular, but when asked how I feel about a car, I will forward my honest opinion, without being mean.

This thread was slipping down the list so I thought I would bring it back. Its spring time, so now that people up north like me have their cars out any one get new wheel over the winter to show off? I wish I could have gotten wheels over the winter maybe by mid June I will be able to add some pics.

Can 18x10.5 DD be put on all 4 corners?

I don't believe you'll be able to fit 10.5s in the front. They make an 18x9 bullitt wheel now that has a deep dish to it, you could get those all the way around

Does anyone have 18" mach 1 wheels that are chrome with black inserts? I think i remember seeing someone with them on a red mach on here a while ago. if anyone has these can you post pics?

Here are the AFS 18x9" rims, machined with painted inserts. They are almost an exact match for Mineral Gray. I asked about it, what color they used, and I was told that each batch of rims, when they get painted, is just to be painted "gray", to try and match the stock rim... and the shades are slightly different each time (I guess I got lucky). I noticed a few in this thread have the same rims, but the inserts are painted black, just wanted to show a different variation on the AFS rim.

Is the lip on the 9" AFS wheel a little deeper than on the stock wheel? It looks about the same, but of course it's hard to tell in a pic.
