Almost to 80K miles. Tranny is slipping and shifting all over the place from 1st to 2nd. Rear needed a pinion seal. Engine is good. Car is good. It's had a hard life having the **** punched out of it and raced.

Re: Highest Mileage Mach 1

just bought my mach 1 from the original owner with 169,000 miles on it and the engine has had zero work! only things replaced were clutch, brake, and tires. this car still runs amazing!! i beat the he!! out of it too. mods are exhaust, short throw, and cai.

the guy bought it new and drove it over 100 miles every day to work and back. he has used mobil 1 full synthetic since the very first oil change and says the car has seen its fair share of racing. car looks like its still new off of the showroom floor.

ive only had it a week but am very satisfied with car especially since i got it for 6k

Just bought my 03 AB Mach in Dayton Oh. 135,287 miles. Car drives strong, no leaks, shifts strong. Has some rock nicks in the paint, but still sharp. Got it for $8600. I have a great Mustang mechanic nearby at Precision Auto Sports in Xenia, so no worries. Just hate that winter is here now, can't wait for spring.

no troubles. still strong... about to procharge it since it is nearly paid off

I drive just to drive it. At least one cruise every single day (except when I am working cause I work 12 hour shifts)

you're just like me! I bought my mach-1 to enjoy it....purchased it with 71,000 miles and It's slightly at 91,000 after owning it for about 9 months! I commute about 50 miles a day from school to work and back home... and probably cruise another 30-50 miles at least twice a week.. I just love turning heads while driving by. :horse:

I think I just turned over 112k...it had 107k when I bought it and in 6 months I have put 5k miles on it. I guess the newness hasn't worn off yet!

Guess I'll join the high mileage club too! I bought my '04 TR earlier this year, it has 180,700 miles on it, got it for $6500. It's in decent shape, the front and rear bumpers need to be repainted and I had to put a timesert insert in the number 1 cylinder, but overall it is fine.

Mine is at 95k. Bought it in 07 with 41k. Daily driver. Recently had my auto tranny rebuilt due to over drive going out. Did a major tune up. Need to replace my inner tie rods and my abs light keeps comming on and off. And my passenger side mirror is broke too. But other than that it's been an excellent car and have loved every second of driving it.

All the dings and scratches to me are battle scars and good memories. Engine is still running strong and now with a new tranny it feels like it got a new pair of legs!

102k miles on mine> previous owner got a little too greedy on the nitrous burnt a piston and had oil in another cylinder (ran it out of oil) locked it up. Trans was grinding 3rd and 4th gear. Front seal in rear axle leaking ( has had a gear change. Car was beaten to death by previous owner (shoulda got a gt) Just installed a used 101k mile engine and had trans rebuilt...... And for all the hell this car must have been through it is surprisingly solid. Drives excellent and super comfortable. I like it better than my 80k mile vert gt.

My mach just hit 130k the other day. In another 3k miles I will have driven my mach for 100k miles in about 4 years.

Up to 126200. We bought it a year ago with 125500. Not a lot of driving to do on the island out here.

100,000 miles!

The mach wasn't supposed to be my daily driver but you have to do what you have to do. But this week she hit 100,000k miles still has original brakes, clutch only change the oil. Now on 3rd set of tires and a new belt last month. She's been a good car! Just bought a house now have a garage. Its time for her to go inside and get some tlc!

Sounds like she has been a great car, now it is time to treat her like she has treated you.

Great to hear. it'll be a few more years before I get to the six figure mark, but if it holds up like yours I'll be very happy, and I don't see any reason why it won't!

Re: 100,000 miles!

I'm with falcongtho3. I dont put a lot of miles on my vehicles. My main DD is the Mach and I only live 5 miles from work. It is pretty cool that you made it that far on original clutch. Was most of the miles highway?

JimsZ 03-10-2012 12:35 AM

Hit me up when you hit the mid 200's, we'll go grab a drink....

Currently around 241k and only failure has been water pump pulley came loose from spindle

Replaced front brakes three times, rear once, tires 20 gazillion times, clutch twice (second time didn't need it - long story) transmission (didn't need it - long story) and a few mods on it... I still love th car like the day I took it home

:yes::agree:

I can't tell you how many times over the years I've walked out to the car, take a minute to really look at it, and smile at how good it looks and how happy it makes me. (Wish I could find a woman like that)

Some garage time sounds like a fitting reward for such a dependable and terrific ride. 100,000! Impressive.
