he did it many games in the 4th quarter

let me know when you get your head out from where the sun doesnt shine....ben squeeked top 25 qb's of 08, tony made top 10

hmmm

At the end ofthe day one team became Champions. The Cardinals put up one hell of a fight. Hell of a game and I just lost about 5 years off of my life :23:

I wonder where Tony would rather be, in the top ten for QB's or 2 Super Bowl rings like Ben. I think we all know.

Go Steelers!

:23: Are you friggin' serious? I did'nt realize they gave Superbowl rings to the top 10 QB's of '08. Wow, I guess Rhomo is 1 up on Berger.

Aikmen was lousy, Bradshaw was lousy, Elway was lousy (all going by the numbers) but they won SB rings. Please stop the hate. Your team gets all of 09 to try and win some bling :23:

Ben wins games and makes big plays --->. (that means period)

So Rhomo has won how many now? 2 or 3?

ben doesnt win games any more than eli wins games....ben has one thing, a complete team around him who plays to win.

other decent/good qb's dont get that...aaron rodgers, tony romo, brett favre, matt ryan

Wrong as usual. Ben is only the 3rd QB ever to make it to 50 wins the fastest. Oh, and then their is the matter of 2 Superbowl rings over just 1 for Eli. Your arguments are as flimsy as a wet noodle. You must have a whole closet of crying towels.

It depends on how you rate the QBs, doesn't it? I rate them by wins and advancement in the playoffs. How's Romo do on my scale?
Ben's not the best QB in the league, but he does more than his share to help the Steelers win. 51 wins in five years plus 2 Super Bowl rings can't be argued with.

wow...so ben is the only player on the team now? guess he throws to himself after he blocks for himself

You made the argument against Ben. Don't try and spin it. You can't deny his talent.

If you watched the Superbowl at all they showed a pic and a stat that said Berger was the 3rd fastest to 50 wins in the NFL. I can't help it if the NFL discriminated against the other Steeler players and they did'nt have a team photo for the 50 win stat they showed.

By "it" he means fell apart and cost his team the game by throwing a pick or fumbling the snap on a field goal try.

Re: NFL Football Thread

this is exactly the reason i didnt want the steelers to win...i have to hear how an average qb is amazing...same as eli last year

steelers as a team are good...quit swinging off ben's nuts

btw...romo has 28 wins in 2.5 seasons...guess hes gonna be the #1 qb ever when hes the fastest to win 50 period

"I was getting ready to start running and then I saw about five guys closing on me, I knew my life was about to end," Roethlisberger told Letterman.

"I saw Santonio in the corner and as soon as I let go of it, I saw the defensive back going to get it, and I thought it was intercepted. I thought the game was over. I thought I blew it. "

yup...thats the amazing ben...hes like a super qb or something

Yep, a couple more 9-7 seasons with no Playoff wins and he'll have it locked up.

Thanks Pittsburgh Steelers for a great year. Adios till August.

I'm waiting for the first "Thats a Chop!" post.

Clearly not a TD... even for the "Replay Officials".

Re: NFL Football Thread

After watching the replay of the int return for a td Fitzgerald ran out of bounds on his own at the 35, stayed out of bounds and even made initial contact of the tackle out of bounds. He knew he couldn't be blocked while out of bounds. Not that it matters the td counted. Look at the replay www.nfl.com
