its part of the pcv system we usually just plug them off when we have cars that want to make a lot of boost.

Re: Eaton Swap.....

Had a question for ya'll on the power steering hoses. Are they all needed for the swap or can you get by only replacing a single one on there? I've been looking for all of them but they aren't too easy to find.

wutang61 11-25-2007 02:36 PM

Re: Eaton Swap.....

the only hose that causes a problem (from what i understand) is the return line.

Scott McClure 11-25-2007 02:42 PM

Re: Eaton Swap.....

I don't plan on replacing any of the power steering lines. The return line might need to be bent a little out of the way.

wutang61 11-25-2007 03:35 PM

Re: Eaton Swap.....

yea that what im going to do as well. power steering lines are expensive as hell

What is the recommended shop manual for the car too? I'm looking for something to check out if I have any questions about assembly. Everything posted should be a big help but i'm curious about torquing bolts etc.

Re: Eaton Swap.....

i would get a helms manual for the cobra. the hardest part will be wiring and vacuum hook ups

I know i'll be the same way, i'm starting my swap in 10 days. Got all the parts ready to go except a couple small things i'm ordering through Jeff. Gonna be so much fun when its all done but the wiring/bolts/lines are gonna be a pain in the *** i'm betting. Can't wait to get it done and tuned, gonna be sweet.

Re: Eaton Swap.....

Yeah the big stuff is simple to come by ie; blower, manifold, fuel pumps, throttle body, MAF, injectors and aftercooler. It's all of the other BS you gotta get!!!!!!!!!!!

Im taking care of all those little things now. Im going to look at a car tonight to see what I need and find out part #'s to label the unlabeled parts in this thread and count bolts.

Hopefuly, this thread will be useful for those looking to go this route.
