Those look great. Are they powder coated or painted?

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
Painted but I used what they call plastidip. They sell it at lowes. I used it on all my emblems except the ford oval

What kind of prep did you do on the wheels?

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
small difference, I changed the center caps for black for the total blacked out look.

Plasidipped Mach 1 emblem looks pretty good. Been wondering how that would come out but I'm far too lazy to try it myself. |

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
Looks awesome man, I love the all black emblem look thats how my cobra is. I think your car would really be set off if it had black exhaust tips!
|
Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
I took your advice on the tips. I ordered an overlay for my ford oval and that will be blacked out aswell then there will be no chrome on the car

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
Sweet man! Looks awesome. Oh 1 more thing maybe, get ya a blacked out ford emblem for the trunk, theres a guy on here that makes them they look really good and much better than an overlay I have one on mine.

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
The blackened tips actually look pretty good. Very nice.

My car is not a Mach 1, but here are few pictures of different wheels I have had on it (and body parts) over the 8 years I have had it... First two photos were a set of original 2003 17x9 Cobra wheels in the machined finish with grey inserts that I picked up from a Cobra owner who wanted something different. I ran Kumho Ecsta 275/40r17's on all 4. Then I added a pair of AFS 17x10.5 wheels with 315/35/17 Sumitomo HTRZ II out back in the last two photos (Sumitomo's were the worst tires I have ever owned, didn't last 10k miles). The old CD Stars & Strip Pony, Mach 1 Grill delete, Bullitt Brakes, Saleen Wing, and 2000 Cobra "R" Hood have been the constents on this car and they will always remain. The 2001 Cobra front bumper cover and fog lights were my first mod less than 3 weeks after buying the car brand new in August of 2003, but it is now gone (along with a full 2003 Cobra body kit) and the car is under going reconstruction again.

Here are a few more photos with my current "staggered fitment" 17x9 Shelby Razor rims with Polished lips and Anthricite Grey finished centers. The "staggered fitment" is because the front wheels were designed with a +40mm offset (6.6" back spacing) for the 2005-current Mustangs and the rear are +24mm offset (5.94" back spacing) for the 1994-2004 Mustangs. This offset pulls the front wheels in under the front fender just enough to mach the rears slight inset. These are wearing Kumho Ecsta SPT's 265/40/17 front (now a discontinued size by Kumho) & 285/40/17 rear. Now I am trying to decide what will be my next set of wheels.

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
Nothing groundbreaking, but I'm loving them. Anthracite FR500's.
18x9 265/35-18 (I'll replace with 275's when they wear out) 18x10 295/35-18 Eibach Prokit all stock ISO's except lower front removed. http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...g/DSC_2383.jpg http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...g/DSC_2385.jpg http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/v...g/DSC_2388.jpg |

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread
this may have been a retarted move i dunno yet...... but when i was over seas with the army i purchased some black chrome cobra R wheels for my DSG mach 1. the fronts are 17x9 and the back are deep dish 18x10. im worried after seeing some of the machs on here with the different size wheels on the back look fu**ing RIDICULOUS! IMO.... but i am a fan of a slight change in size. the tires are 245/45/17 in the front and 285//35/18 in the back. i was confident until i got on here and seen some pics.. what you guys think? yall think it will look good or no? in your honest opinions? if anyone has this set up plz post pics.:gears:

i dont know.. just love that bumper. Never see it nor do i ever see the freakin thing for sale. Looks sweet dude. Im not sure ive seen theses wheels on a TR mach yet. I wonder how it would look. I need to step up my photoshop skills |

However, if I'M gonna pay for a wider size wheel, better believe im putting a bigger tire on it vs the stock 17x8. A 17x9 wheel should fit a 255/40/17. If your so worried, sell the 245's(stock wheel size so should take a whole day to sell them) and get a 255. Then at least the extra inch width is put to good use. |
