Phil, I just ran through your post and didn't find my answer. Did you ever solve your brake issue? I'm trying to get things going and now that my motor is out I'm thinking about switching to manual brakes/steering.

What has been your driving experience so far, note, I drive trucks for a living so I'm used to manual power steering. Do you feel your safe on the streets is basically what I'm asking

Went with a different manual master cylinder and a reversion valve. It's at Jeff Chambers shop for the winter. With the skinnies up front it's not to bad with manual steering. but I only drove it for short trips. Took it to work one day. The smart thing would be to keep the power brakes/steering, if you plan on going fast on the street!

I'm really looking for a way to clean the engine compartment up some. Perhaps I'll look for an alternative that will get rid of some of the clutter. It has been along time since I've driven a vehicle w/o power steering and brakes.

What about your Aero brakes, I believe some posted up along time ago that they are a little soft for the street, do you have any concerns. Keep in mind my car gets VERY little use.

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup

My Mach has a lot of weight reduction, so the aeromotive brakes work good. In the begining, I had to do a lot of modifications to the brake hubs/rotors to my rear axles (with C-clip eliminators) to get the right caliber to rotor alingment.

I remember your issues, I think I'll be ordering my brakes soon. Just don't know about Aero or Strange.

If your not installing C-clip eliminators, then you will be OK with the Aerospace rotor/calipers.

I did an Moser M9, I guess I'll call Aero and see what they suggest. I think I'm gonna go ahead and go manual as well. This is killing me I've only put about 100 mi on this car in the last 5 or 6 yrs.

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup

I bought this trans new and sent it to Liberty Gears in Michigan for the works. They installed a 26 spline input shaft, face plated 2nd-4th gear. All internal gears were micronited, heat treated & cryo-treated. Tranny still has 5th gear. The gears are the same ratio as the factory Mach 1 3650 trans. The trans has about 350 miles on it at max, just broken in. No track time on this trans, only dyno rollers and very little street time. Changed tranny fluid last month. Comes with a Pro 5.0 shifter. I have all original reciepts for this trans and I'm the original owner. It will require a 26 spline clutch assembly and bell housing to 4.6L DOHC motor. This trans shifts like butter at 8500 rpm's. This was tested by me a few times.

Trans is still in my Mach 1 at CRT Performance in Norwalk, Ohio stored for the winter since October 2011. I've decided to go with a Lenco ST1200 trans.

Contact me for price!

LOL!!

Liberty Gears in Michigan built my TKO-500 and it shifts like butter! Going into 3rd feels like I'm using an auto trans slap stick. This was also having 28" M/T street radials! My M/T drag tires and rims are a total of 24 lbs lighter (rotating weight) then the rear combo I currently have for the street!

Yea, I caught that post that listed what all had been done to the trans, awesome stuff! I'm going for a fully built T56 soon.
