FWIW - you can pick up an '01 lightning for about 17K now. And they hold value better.

Re: Buying A Truck
I had a '96 Ford F-150 that was 4WD and had a 6 cylinder. Man, what a dog that engine was. It was powerLESS, gas mileage SUCKED because you had to constantly floor it to get any power out of the engine. I traded it for a new 2000 F-150 4WD Supercab with the 5.4. Now that truck had some balls. That was a great truck. But sold it for the Mach.

Re: Buying A Truck
depends on what the truck going to be used for. towing, hauling, plowing whatever. to me in ny<winter> i had a dd 2 wheel since 93 only been in 2 tight spots <mad at races motox, watkings glen> when i wish i had 4 wheel, but i dont plow. the more parts that move the more they break. in fact my dad has that truck he tows behind his motorhome he likes it.gl

Re: Buying A Truck
I have purchased a 2003 Dakota, 3.9L, v6 with 4,100 miles. It is simply a get around truck, something to play in the mud with back home and to haul shtuff in :)
