Re: Carlisle All Fords Mach 1 Regional - June 1-3, 2007

Just got word from Carlisle Productions, my 1969 Mach 1 has been chosen for the invitational portion of the show. That means the car will be inside building T or Y from Thursday through Sunday afternoon. I am really excited about being chosen. Last year was great with getting to meet Al Eckstrand & Hau Thai-Tang (thanks Haeg for the photos, I am chilling the beer I owe you as we speak), but this is beyond belief. They told me that there were 5 Mach's chosen for the invitational. My guess is that those 5 would represent they different years of the Mach- 1969, 1970, 1971-73, 1974-78 & 2003-04. Santa Claus came to Tennessee today:claus:

I am awaiting the cold ones... Cool to hear about it. I wouldn't have put in for that, because I wouldn't want to leave my car parked with all the Mach 1 happenings, need to be cruising around. But for the older Mach it is definitely understandable. I'll have the camera again, let me know if you need some more photo's taken. Always glad to do so. Are you bringing the 03 Mach too??

Talked it over - we're definitely picking up the mach this week. :HOPPY: I have check for time off, but I'm guessing we'll be down Thursday thru Sunday. I'm guessing we'll be doing the Freestyle too as that's just too long a drive from NH eating our knees because of a carseat in the back - unless anyone can figure out how to mount a child seat in the middle of the back *safely* between now and then. 20 months old and the boy already knows what he wants: "CAR!" :D

Is there a caravan heading down from NH/MA area on Thursday? If so, I'll sign up for that. We'll head down to Carlisle to do the registration on Thursday and head over to my wife's aunt's place. She's about 1 hour away.

We're definitely in for some BBQ Friday. I think we're best off picking stuff up locally after we get there.

Well, I finally registered. Every other time I tried the site was down. Now I just have to figure out how to get Thursday and Friday off. We're told not to ask for vacation at the end of the week because they can't gaurantee we'll be home. If the job isn't finished we can't leave.

Too late. I already asked for those days off. Boss said he will do what he can which should be alot since he controls who goes where. Hopefully they'll just make that week my week in the office. We'll see.

It's my best bet. If I didn't say anything I may have been put on an airplane and not be able to make it.

What part of MA are you from? I was up in Falmouth two weeks ago.

Yes, we normally leave early around 7-7:30 the first day. It's about a 15min drive to the fairgrounds. once registered, it is easier, so get to the show field early the first day, then you can just drive in the rest of the days. Saturday is always busy and crazy. Usually the earlier the better.

Once we get our plans set, we normally line up in the parking lot and get rolling around the set time.

Sat night, me and a couple of friends did stop by "Mary's Family restaurant" and had supper there. The food and service was great. The owners were very nice and they can't wait to see all the mustangs in there parking lot. I think they are as excited as we are about the all ford weekend.

I'd think it would be better to do Hooters Thursday night. The parking lot won't be as full as it will be on Friday or Saturday night. Just my 2 cents.
