A co-worker of mine camped on the infield at 'dega last year. She showed me pics of her drinking from a bottle with clint boyer in their trailer one night lol! It sounds like a week-long party out there that would take me another week to recover from. :23:

Out of those I still need to go to Bristol and New Hampshire. Out of the others Martinsville is definitely my favorite especially now since it's a decider in the chase. I wanna go to talladega for the experience. I think the last track I go to will be Pocono unless we camp inside the track.

And you live in Pennsylvania! Haha. That's funny. I'm not in love with our track either.

I am in NY and went to the Glen once. Never again. As for New Hampshire, Don't really care for it. The modifieds but on a better show than the cup cars. They should just cover the place with dirt i think. As far as close tracks to me....Dover is the place to go. 5 hr drive.

Killer finish. One of the best I've seen.

It was a good one. I would have preferred to see Truax win, he's really become a popular and talented driver.

That was an awesome finish. Good job by the 11 and congrats to toyota for their first daytona 500.

Re: NASCAR thread

The Toyota show was the closest finish in history and yes I was there.

I was at the Geico 500 this weekend at Talladega. What a great day to be a Ford man.I had them steaming in the stands when little E wrecked (twice), JJ, Danica and the other 35 out of 40 with damage. Ol Brad and Bayne Ford's had some HP, hell, the #2 could block 3 lanes and run with no help. I had great seat for the action with a friend on one side and empty on other..yes 311-420, I was hoping #18 woul;d have wreck, he always makes you nervous at the end.

He makes you nervous because he's exciting to watch. Which is why he's my guy. :smokin:

Congrats to JJ and that 48 team. 7 championships is incredible.

Re: NASCAR thread

I have to grudgingly agree there may be some talent there. Not my first choice for champion, but he certainly did it and deserves the respect he's earned.

More like 7 tournament wins. I don't like the chase in case you couldn't tell. lol

I like the chase, but I don't like it when they call it the "play offs". :smack: I'm not a foosball fan if you couldn't tell.

I would like to see them rearrange the format though. Throw a road course in there, and just mix it up.

I would love to get a full hood off of a raced car.

Re: NASCAR thread

What an ending to what could have been a snoozer. A Chevy running a Toyota into the wall to put a Ford into the final four!
And no Chevys in the championship finale.

Re: NASCAR thread

I watched the Daytona 500 and that was enough for me. This stage racing is retarded. Once they deviated from the points system back in 2003 after Kenseth blew everyone else away in points, they ruined it. The system to determine a champion got worse and worse. I won't watch it anymore.

311-420 11-14-2017 09:44 AM

Re: NASCAR thread

Glad Kenseth got another W. He will be missed in the sport if he doesn't come up with a ride between now and next year.

Excited for Homestead!

Re: NASCAR thread

And the scripted crap continues.
Should have known the strongest cars out there (Fords) would stand a chance.
#3 wins exactly 20 years after the only other win by a car bearing #3.
I am/was hoping for a chance to see a Mustang running Cup next year, but by then it probably won't matter. They'll be running at state and county fairs by then.

I don't like the stage racing. They might as well run 2 heat races and run the main race with who's left. Guess I need to do like I do in basketball. Just wait till there's two minutes left then tune in.

I haven't really liked NASCAR much since the "S" no longer meant something.

But...I do still watch. Mainly to see the crashes. :orange:

Re: NASCAR thread

This is the first year I haven't watched the Daytona 500 in over 20 years. They completely ruined it with all their stupid new ideas. When I first started going to these races in the late 90's it was like being stuffed into a sardine can in the stands. Now, their lucky to fill half the stands.
