I can't believe I totally forgot about the Bud Shootout on Saturday. Do they always run the 150's that early on Thursday? It starts at 11am Pacific time here. I'll actually miss 1 hour of the race.

From hero to zero all in one swift move because of the  a$$ two-car hookup. He said he didn't want to be practicing and wasn't real sure why they were practicing.

Big Ron :)

Ya know, I'm not sure how I feel about the 2 car draft. I mean, ever since the COT came out pretty much every race has been the same: Boring! But at the Shootout the race actually seemed interesting because it wasn't 2 side by side wagon trains the entire time. I guess Sunday will be the true test but right now any change to the COT has to be a good thing.

I just can't get used to seeing my favorite driver of all time, Bill Elliott, in a Chevrolet. I feel like I've been punched in the stomach every time I see it.

I can't get Steppenwolf's "The Pusher" out of my head. Today was the first time I've seen this (I saw the truck race which was the usual freight train). I'm not a fan of it so far. I guess I'll wait and see how the race ends.

I've found myself coming back to watch Nascar racing after some years. It looks more interesting. I like the track surface now and the least worries in tire failure in years.

Nevermind, I'm recovering from back surgery... :23:

...and feeling better everyday!!!

around 28 to go

I don't really care for the pair racing but, the finish was pretty cool. I'm glad Earnhardt Jr. did'nt win. I'm getting tired of everytime something has to do with Earnhardt Sr. then suddenly someone pulls a win out of their butt.

So much for all the Chevy hype. I think I just found my driver to replace Kahne {since he left a Dodge team). It was great to see the Motorcraft car in victory lane.

I heard on the radio that Glenn Beck was there for his first race.
Bet he had a blast.

Great to see that 21 car and the wood brothers, motorcraft back in victory lane,

Re: NASCAR thread

Certainly not what NASCAR had in mind! This is supposed to be a Govt. Motors series.`

My first thought as the 4th place car got greased was "1963." Then it was actually 1-2-3-4-5 Ford as another Woods Brothers 21 car won with a newcomer driving.....
