I noticed the ones on Ebay are also shipping from Asia. I am wondering if they are even genuine Autoart products. |

That detailed out Bullitt and dealer A/A Ford GT are both just flat out cool!
Just got word that Hot Wheels/Mattel will release a 1:50 TV Batmobile as well as a Batcycle, comic book Batmobile, and animated series and movie Batmobile. :borg: |

Re: Die -cast cars
That's a great piece.
I've got the white hardtop version of the Concept Mustang GT that was sold at the Mustang 40th Anniv. show, ser#264 of 1000. There was a similar conv. offered as well, but you don't find either of them for sale too often. :borg: |
Re: Die -cast cars
This is a new place that's opening up around the country. they also do online stuff, but I'd like to see the store in action. Looks like fun!!!

Re: Die -cast cars
It's fun to go through and build your own diecast, virtually. I'm not ready to go in and spend the mighty bucks yet.
Looks like 2008 will be another good year for diecasts...here's to collecting! :borg: |

Why not get what's in the latest C&D? It's a TT 5.4 Ford GT, pushing over 1,000 hp. Looks like serious fun. It's the fastest of all the cars in the shootout, and actually the least expensive! :borg: |
Re: Die -cast cars

Re: Die -cast cars
I made it from a kit that Johnny Lightning offered. It came with enough parts to build two Mustang GTs, one coupe and conv., and I built the JL Mach1 coupe out of that kit. I had to build up the hood and make the shaker out of balsa wood. While I was at it, I went ahead and made a Mach conv. out of the rest of the kit. If I can dig up those photos, I'll put them up if it's not on an earlier page here. The kit is no longer available.
Here's a link to a photo previously posted. http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...1&d=1179683631 :borg: |

Here is kind of a updated pic of just my Mustang stuff (minus the Stewrat figurine on the bottom). It's not a great pic but there are 90 different items on this shelf. The Mach and a few other 1:18 scales are not pictured.

Re: Die -cast cars
Looks like I've had a relapse!
Added to the collection in only this past week are a standard version 1:18 Batmobile, 1:18 Shelby Cobra Supersnake (twin supercharged) in blue chrome, and both a 1:64 and 1:18 Shelby GT 85th Birthday celebration car ( for the Shel, himself)... I have no willpower... :borg: |
