I just got my frpp 4.30's picked up today and got the royal purple and the master bearing kit.

My question is.. do I need a bottle of friction modifier or clutch lube how ever you want to put it.. ? the bottle says " contains limited slip additive "

That stuff can stink up a shop for weeks. As I recall you don't need it with the RP but I don't mess with the RP. Just remember to use the right quantity if you're using a girdle. I think all of them add some capacity. :smokin:

You DO NOT need modifier if using RP. I have been running this in mine for a while with no issues.

I used the RP and my car sounded like crap while turning at low speeds. I put in the Ford Friction Modifier and haven't had a problem since.

I used Valvoline 75w140 full syn. and it chattered and whined, i put in some oreillys friction modifer, it still whined... I went to ford and picked up some motorcraft FM, and wow what a diffrence. No more noises, chattering, anything.

I dont know for royal purple tho.
