Advanced Automotive Concepts in Baltimore, MD recently put a cage in my car. It had to be stripped down everywhere inside, including the dash. I live 2 hours away and they were happy to work with my schedule in measuring out the cage to fit me and meeting me to see progress of the car and make sure I was happy with it before moving on.
My girlfriend's house is about 30 miles away from their shop and that's where I was all weekend after picking up my car. Sunday night I was unable to shift into any gear other than reverse and neutral. It was acting a little fun to begin with when I picked it up.
I called Bill the owner at AAC who gave me his personal cell phone number to ask for help since I had no tools with me and I've got little knowledge of actually working on transmissions. Him and another AAC guy drove the 30 miles to my girlfriend's house with a flatbed in case they needed it, but they didn't. They came to fix it in my girlfriend's drive way on memorial day when their shop was closed for the day.
I've had my car in many shops for many different reasons and I have to say this is one of the very few enjoyable experiences I've had with a shop. I now actually know the definition of a stand up mechanic and one who stands behind their work and will go out of his way to make it right.
On top of my good experience with the shop, they did an AMAZING job with the cage. The bars all fit well with the inside of the car and visibility is not even an issue. All bars contour to the windows of the car. See for yourselves:
