i hope all of you guys that went this weekend will go next weekend. i plan to show if i can pry my wife from our local 8th mile track. i have alot of questions in reference to our mach 1 I sure could use some pointers. also is any one planning to goto autoramma that weekend . i look forward to reading about this weekends events. and i apologize if i seem intrusive.

Barring any last minute work disasters, or inclement weather, I will be there on the 5th. I am looking forward to the Mach's first passes down the quarter.

I was going to go but its to cold and it would be hard to go up there and not race. I have to get up early in the morning to clean the mach and put my wheel spacers on the back and head up to the car show. Is there anyone else going? stacy ? from WWE will be there so I have to see them legs in real life.

The tracked SUCKED!!! With the regular race season over, it looks like the VHT is locked up for the winter.

I spun on every run, but got a new best e.t. of 12.98.

How bad was the damage? I split my caliper & damaged the rotor when my axel snaped.

Yep, the driver's side rotor is scarred real good. The axle popped out and the caliper is in a bind with the rotor. I'm trying to upload a pic to the thread with my story, but the pics are too big.

so far the only disadvantage of having a rear disc set-up...

seems to be the norm now with these cars when the stock axles let go.

I wish ford would just step it up and put 31 spline forged stuff in everything.

They could do it in all applications from the 1/2 ton trucks to mustangs to f350 dually's with 4wd...

economies of scale...The price alone would be minimal, and there would be very few warranty issues.

I realize it is not necessary for most applications, but jeez...

I'm going to try and get a new rearend this week. You gave me a big scare this weekend. Even though I've been racing on mine for about a year now and nothing has broke. But not taking any chances now.:D

my car was running like a bear
of course with the stock rubber i couldn't apply it to the track
best was 13.151
the cool weather felt like i had 10 extra hp ..just couldn't find the sweetspot

Might not be a good thing to hook too hard.....I know I got scared when mine hooked too hard. Not quite ready to fix an axle.....

I have my h-pipe on by the way. Sounds nice and loud. You going to the Dyno day At Strictly?

I BARELY bested my previous best (12.99) with a 12.98 that night. I was the guy in the "dirty" Blue car.

OOOppss!!! My Bad 67bird! Someone told me at the track that you were running high 12's that night. I must have been distracted by something.............must have been my first run that night!!:D

sorry about not showing i had a family member go thru an emergency surgery so i couldn't show friday nite and it doesnt look promising before christmas , but the holidays will bring some time to work on the stang and the cuda.
