Yes I plan on it. The car hasn't been out of the garage this year except a couple road trips since a transmission and a rear end. Kind of new at 41k. I should have been in contact. These oil prices are putting a strain on everything. I still need 2 new/used gatorbacks from last year.:smokin::23: I had a great time as did everybody else. I can make the trip from Dayton and back in less than two tanks. I'll be there.

Sounds good... Ya, you had one hell of a smokey burnout in the neighbors driveway. I don't think Jeff's neighbor John, will start that again this year. Ater you dug two nice tire grooves in his freshly asphaulted driveway..!!!:23:

I pull in and am told that I can't eat until I do a burn out. I clicked on my lineloc and did a burnout as where instructed. I offered to fix the marks or pay to fix them last year as it is the apron from the street, partially driveway to his concrete driveway. I already felt bad. You guys said not to worry about it. I never even got the video of the best burnout I ever did.
To be safe, maybe I shouldn't come this year because I don't want that thrown in my face over and over and I don't want to screw up someone else's stuff.:23:

It was not your fault at all..!!! John knows that, I know that and Jeff knows that..!!! He started it and allowed anyone who wanted to. I just brought it up because I thought it was a hell of a burnout.. We did not have insects in the area for hours!!! LOL

The burnouts were just a prelude to the real burnin' - two fisted, lawyer-callin', primeval style!

i will be there Phil. my car is untouched from last year other than an oil change and a well broken in engine. it needs a few refinements but nothing that'll stop it from the racing action!

so (sue you) Phil what is your motto gonna be at this years party? maybe Deb can make it this time and keep you in line :23: .

Good to hear from ya and hope you will enter the Mach classes. Tell your boss that it will be $40 (pre-paid) to run during open track times and this includes attending the evening cook out/bon fire.

so to make sure im understanding this correctly... the racing is only for the 03-04 Mach 1's... which somewhat discourages me from wanting to bring the 70... well we will decide in the next week if we are gonna show and what we will bring

You can run your 03-04 Mach 1 in a class that you choose, or more. There is no class for 69-73 Mach 1. However, you can run your 70 Mach (awesome machine by the way!) during open track for a pre-paid fee of $40.

Since we are not having a good turnout, you can run your 70 Mach 1 in our bracket Mach class for a pre-paid fee of $125.

I'm sorry that this discourages you.. If you run in any of the Mach 1 classes, it will be $125 per car/driver. If you run during open track, it will be $40 per car/driver.

Thanks for your interest & concern.

The entry fee for the Mach classes is $125 per car. Your Dad could drive both Mach's if he wants or have someone else drive one of them.

Ok guys!!! There were several that voted to have this event in Norwalk Ohio, so please vote. I thank the members that already voted.

If I don't get 25 paid Mach 1 class entry members soon, then this event is cancelled.

Well I can't make it because it's on a THURSDAY!!?? What a silly day to have a get-together... If it was a Saturday I'd be all over it. I can't take Wed/Thurs/Fri off from school.

I knew I was going to loose attendance when the track changed its rules for track rentals.

That silly day was not by choice, but is what Norwalk only offers as far as a full day track rentals, which pissed me off!!.. No weekends and only Mon, Tues or Thursday open to rent track all day.

Last year the showdown was on a Friday. They changed their rules this year for Friday track rentals to be only half a day.
