I work at a Visteon plant in MI. I had a guy come over and tell me that they were running the Mach 1 springs today, so
Ford is starting to get some parts together for build run soon. We also will be making the sway bars here so I will find out when they are ran.
Here in MI, my Torch Red 5 speed w/int upgrade a-planed out at
$25,311.00 and I have a priority code 10. (no vin yet)

I guess my next move is, when I get my vin #. To get ahold
of some of my contacts at Dearborn assembly and possibly go and watch my Mach 1 being made. Ford is pretty good about things like this for concerned employee's and I know of a few people in this plant that were allowed to go to the assembly plant the day that their vehicle was being built.

If you do can you take photos??? That would be dynamite to have some pics.

Is there any talk about a video showing a Mach 1 being made from start to finish?

I would love to be there when my car is built but I will be out of the country!

Anyone that will be there when they are made, if you could take as many pictures as possible I would be willing to donate $$$ to get some pictures back!

The one thing that we cannot do is take photo's, even in our plant
We are told that this is to protect our industry secrets. You would be amazed just watching a coil spring or sway bar being made, it's really interesting.

Any pictures you could get would be awesome! Is that only when they are being assembled in the plant? What about when they are all outside waiting to be shipped??? That would be one of the nicest pictures!:D

That would be REALLY cool...seeing lets say a 100 Machs of various colors sitting side-by-side waiting to be shipped!

Brings back images of the old Shelby and 60's mustang shots that I've seen before.

The only other time that we could possibly see such a gathering is at a national 2003 car show :D

You would at least think Ford could take pictures and then edit out the assembly equipment.
Hey, after all, all we wanna see is the car.

hey 34, I know it's off topic but how's that Coupe coming??? I've been thinking about doing one myself in the future... A nice 34 Tudor or something... Lemme know your experience with her?
