Perhaps if we get a few more people to chime in we could have a get-together for coffee or something at a mutually agreeable location to say hello and shoot the bull. Sound alright?

That's 4 of us (and the poor guy living year-round in the California sunshine). A few more and we can start our own chapter. There's got to be one or two more out there. What say???

Where's a good place to meet?

How does everyone feel about driving down South? I know a few places in Tinley Park or Orland Park that might work. There are plenty of large, safe parking lots out here. . . Maybe then we could rotate to the North next time?

The other thing I was thinking is that maybe one of the Ford Dealers might want to play host some time. I've got a friendly rapport with the guys at Rod Baker Ford (an FRPP and Roush dealer) in Plainfield, if anyone want to pursue that.

Parking down town, which would be our geographic center, probably, is just going to be to risky/expensive/painful for what we want to do. . .

I look forward to your comments. . .

Victor Ford in Wauconda is a High Performance Ford Dealer I could talk to them .. it is where I bought my Mach. We may be able to get some of the Southern Wisconsin boys to join us?

Let me know your thoughts,

Its probably as centrally located as any other spot. Why don't we wait a couple days to see if anyone else responds. If not, we can try and plan something. I will be out of town from Thursday afternoon untill late Sunday anyway - but I hope to have internet access while I'm gone.

Do you need to talk to them (Ford) first, or are you just talking about showing up and BS-ing in their parking lot or something.

If it's a Sunday I say we just show up there .. If Saturday I will give them a call.

Well you guys have 3 places now. Wauconda up north and Tinley Park (which is a little farther south, and Byron Dragstrip.

My weekends tend to be screwed up because of my job and my military duty. I know I started this thread but you guys should decide when and where its convenient. If I can schedule the time I will show up at any of the 3 places.

Yeah, they are supposed to be based in my home town of New Lenox, but they seem to have gone belly-up or something. . . I was doing a search on them some time ago and it led to "Brad's Mustang Site" or something, and there was the club listing but the link is dead.

Hello everyone....

How about a NW Indiana Mach?

I work for a Ford parts (motorcraft) dealer and visit every dealership from MIdlothioan to here in Indiana. I know of a lot of nice hang-outs where people go(including older muscle cars/vintage cars). Might be more of a next summer thing....but they are all avaible for us to take over with our Mach's!

Mug Rootbeer Drive-in located near McCarty Ford off of Pulaski and 127th.

Miami Subs located in Highland, Indiana

Blue Top Drive-in located in Highland, Indiana(both are very close to each other...makes for a nice cruze back an forth down the main drag.

Just let me know whats going on....I would love to attend any function we come up with. Hell i might even bring my Dad, the one to get me started with my dream of owning a Mach 1(he owned a '69 Mach 1 in silver jade metallic).

Well, I got the MAch Zaino'd for the first time today. Only took about 5 hours to Clay Bar, Z-5 and Z-2. Its cloudy here today, but I think it looks okay, except for a few fine scratches that showed up where I began the application. Don't know where they came from. The car was extra clean. Might have been one of the Zaino polish pads. Only thing I can think of. Well, the Mach's in the garage now, except for extremely dry, sunny days. Then she'll get to go around town for a while to keeo everything limber.
Mach 1. Life is good. Winter is not!:HOPPY: :(

I live in Carol Stream and work in Arlington Heights. Chances are if you see an Azure '03 on the Elgin O'Hare or on '53 north of there, it's probably me ;)
Sure, love to meet! As far as sightings go, I had a Red Mach1 pull up next to me at the gas pump a couple weeks ago on Dundee just East of '53. Guy wasn't unfriendly ;)

The Great Lakes Dragway get together is that weekend. Interested in meeting up up there or on the way? It'd be great to get a big group going!

Saturday 4/17 10-6. $10 to race.

Let's hope the weather forecast changes, too. It's supposed to storm, but hopefully it'll wait a day or two. . .
