Best gear

What would be the best gear for my current setup? I hit both the track and daily drive it. I have nitrous hooked up and plan on using it down the quarter, but am afraid of running out of gear with the nitrous.

Setup that matters will consist of: TKO 600, alum. flywheel, alum. driveshaft and a p/p intake.

I currently have 4.10's but am thinking of 4.30's or 4.56's.

I know Nazman ran nitrous with 4.56's but he had a higher redline than me as well, but a stock tranny too though.

From what I heard, I believe the tko 600 needs a higher gear because of the ratios compared to the 3650 off the line but they end up being the same in 4th and 5th gear though.

Any help?

id run what ya got for now and see what rpm your at goin through traps, and go from there.

your car needs 4.56's Archie, but with it being your DD id prolly go 4.30's.

I drive it to work and back homie on side streets. No highway's unless it's going to Biff's. Which is not often.

Forgot to mention, reason why im even asking is because my posi-unit went out and I figured now would be the time to switch to different gears if I wanted to since it's already gonna be torn apart.

almost went back on tonight, I was at my buddys house and my setup is still laying there on top of the jetski. I almost grabbed it and started putting it back in. Instead I decided to help fix some gas leaks we have on the viper so i got a face and hair full of VP c16 all over me. **** I love the way that **** smells.

5th 0.62 0.62The 4.56's at least! The first gear is a dog out of the hole with anything less if you don't have any power adders.

I have a power adder though.

My main concern is running out of gear in the quarter mile. 4.56's will get that low end grunt back that I lost due to the tko 600 but will it be overkill in the quarter with nitrous?

Do you have nitrous though?No. I think M1M used to run nitrous and 4.56 gears. I'm not sure though. With my gears it seems that there is enough rpm's left to use a shot.

Bill ran 28's with 4.56's.

Aww **** it. I can borrow my uncles 28's for track use if I have too. :23:

I think this first gear is killing me on the streets right now. THe 4.56 should solve my problems for the street and the 28's will solve my problem's at the track. NItrous = 28's all motor gets the 26's.
