I just read an article in a Mustang mag that came out this month and was a little confused about something. They had a stock 07 GT on a dynamometer and the thing only had 230rwhp. Do those cars really lose that much horsepower through the driveline??

From what I've seen the Machs (rated close to the new style GTs) Dyno around 260-270rwhp. Just thought it was wierd to see that.

Also, what makes that 3 valve put out as much at the crank as our 4v engines?

Most do better than that around here. Was it sick or mod'd and not tuned? :what:

This bites. I cant find the article. They were modding it. I believe they were just putting on a new exhaust set up. I remember the dyno graph(chart format) showing peak hp at 230 ish, I dont remember the tq though. Then after they did the mod I remember seeing a 6hp increase. Really wish I could find it.

It was definately a new GT though because I couldnt believe that car had so much driveline loss.

That doesn't sound like 3v numbers to me,they are usaully are in the mid 250's to mid 260's from what I have seen. 230rwhp is what most 2v PI 5spd cars put down (99-04)

I'll keep researching, I'm pretty sure if I take some time I'll find it. I couldve been wrong though, it may have been a 2v. Anywho I'll get back to you guys.

May have been the type of dyno used or user error.
