Found this auction yesterday and could not believe the final price on this 2006 Shelby GT-H. If I had the money I would have been all over it. I hope this means that new Shelbys will soon stop commanding the Dealer Markups that have been putting them out of the reach of the average Mustang enthusiast.

On monday I went to the state to order a personal registration tag for my Shelby GT. The tag I was going to order was "SGT2343" the serial no. of my car and the women at the window ask me what car I had and guess which tag she gave me? "SHELBYGT". I could not believe that tag was still available in Pa.. Boy was I lucky or what.

I would shy away at the fact that it was a rental car. Who knows how many times that car has been beat on. Only 9k miles but those could be a rough 9k.

I was at Manheim AA in PA last friday and one sold for just back of 30 with 15k miles. Hertz runs one or two every week and they keep getting cheaper, Hertz requires you to have a new ford franchise to buy one tho.

Yes, hard to believe it was available, congratulations.

I guess this also means that Pennsylvania now allows 8 characters on a plate?

Yeah seriously -- there was a guy who rented one and ran it balls out at One Lap of America until Hertz got an anonymous call, found out he was tracking it, and demanded he bring the car back!:23:

I guess this also means that Pennsylvania now allows 8 characters on a plate?Did call the state today and they cocur with you , only seven letter on a plate. There is eight spaces, put you can only use seven, the eight space is for a dash or space only. The person who I talked to, said it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the state to find their mistake. She said you still may get your choice, or they will ask for your second choice. :frown:
